"Get out of the bleachers and into the game"... Memorial 2012 demonstration.
by koolaid-man innow is a good time to start making preparations for the memorial night demonstration at your kingdom hall thursday, april 5, 2012, after sundown.. close to 20 million people will attend this annual global witness event including active witnesses, relatives and friends of witnesses, bible studies, return visits and still attached former witnesses.
the evils of the watchtower org.have to be exposed and this is an ideal time to do it.. many around the world have been adversely affected by their association with jehovah's witnesses and you can be an instrumental force by standing tall and courageously exposing the watchtower organization.. there is no better way to let the watchtower know your revulsion than to broadcast and present your view by standing fearlessly, demonstrating in front of a kingdom hall.. i am fully aware that a handful of the internet therapists who post on this forum will not agree with this method of unmasking the watchtower.. those intolerant, contemptuous critics who will comment on this thread making harsh judgements and finding fault with those who protest are perhaps deep-down wishing they had the backbone to stop hiding in cyber-space, step away from their computer and "get out of the bleachers and into the game" .
lets make this a global event!......

I agree! Paper the neighborhoods with protest signs! Do whatever it takes to heal the butt-hurt. One of my favorite anti-JW tactics is to carry WatchTower mags to assemblies and leave them as "tips" for the wait staff.
Really riles 'em up!

dirty trick at the meeting re facebook
by Aussie Oz inmy daughter told me about last weeks service meeting part on facebook.... the brother doing the parts asked for a show of hands who had a facebook account.. apparently a number of elders did.. (she did not put up her hand...in fact recently deleted all jws off her friends because she doesnt want them to know anything about her life).
i thought that was a dirty trick to pull.. oz.

"Does the organization tell us not to associate with non jws? Actually, they don't prohibit it, but encourage us to only have necessary dealings. Is that really so wrong? That's exactly what Jehovah told the Israelites,
I thought JWs were Christians? Oh that's right, today must be Monday so they follow Mosaic Law. right? Do you eat shellfish?
You don't know what you believe until they tell you...

How do you feel about not seeing your dead loved ones again?
by highdose init always felt rather unatural the thought of seeing people who had been dead for years.
how would they come to terms with the huge passage of time that had passed?
how would they be able to cope with the fact that their family had probably hugely changed since they had died.

Are you sure they want to see YOU?
Seems like the dead might have other interests,,,

My Wife wants to allow a Sister from her congregation to provide before and after care for my oldest daughter...
by garyneal inwhen my littlest one was born we knew finding affordable daycare would be tough.
a sister in her congregation was suggested over and over and we finally checked her out and allowed her to keep the baby.
my oldest has had a fairly normal life (thanks largely to me and my wife before she became a witness) and because of that she is quick to speak of birthdays, holidays, etc.. i want her to continue to have a fairly normal life as i know how hard it would be for her to be 'singled out' because her friends decide to do these things.. she's about to start kindergarten and my wife wants to try some sister from her congregation who is looking to make some extra money providing before and after care.

In my area before and after care are provided at a number of sites connected to my child's elementary school. One that stands out is the YMCA; kids get on the YMCA bus after school and then spend 2-4 hours swimming, playing, doing homework or napping.
Put your child with normal kids; even at 5 years old I've heard JW children speak of birthdays and X-Mas as "evil". Your kid will either be shunned by the JW kids, or start thinking like them...

January 1 WT - Garden of Eden - Most inane article in a while
by eric356 inthe wt has really managed to outdo itself in regards to stupid, poorly researched articles attempting to defend ancient myths as literal history.
the latest effort is the cover article "the garden of eden - myth or fact?".
no moderately educated adult should have to ponder that question for long before answering "myth".

Interesting that to JWs, so much of the Bible is figurative, but when it somes to Adam and Eve and their lineage, well that is all very literal.
Literal to the point of calculating the age of man-kind year-by-year. The rest is all "A week is a year or a day is a month" etc.

It seems to me that "Matthew" would be the basis for a school that advertises to teach Christian Elders.
Then again, this is not Christianity is it?
