  just heard it on the news.

  he is now at the hospital and still alive.. they played the audio tape of him calling for help.. unbelievable.

  in not certain if it was in the us or cnada - accents sounded like southern us but it might have been east canada

  well, it's been brewing for a long time and i was getting ready for it, but i've finally gotten the shun-for-life from my folks.

  i was going to visit them in a few months and had arranged to see my non-witness grandparents for a few days too, and invited them along.

  Perfect example of why so many remain witnesses. It's not love of the Org., it's the unabashed guilt and fear of repurcussions IN THIS SYSTEM that keeps so many in chains.

  Just let your folks know you love them dearly and that you hope they become aware of how badly they are being used.

  How could it possibly be "loving" if it causes them to shun their own daughter? I digress, there are good reasons to disasociate oneself eith family members but this is not one of them. Their actions bring more shame on the Dubz than any association with a non-Dub possibly could.

  I had the opportunity to ask a brother why we should be shunning the 25 y/o brother in the back (secret smoker) when our congo has over 50 member in the local penitentatry. Drug sellers, rapists, child abusers, wife beaters even murderers are "good" association while bro Marlboro is somehow evil.

  baptized roommate talked to elders about Barbara Anderson

  my roommate(baptized) met with 2 elders last night and gave them "the discoveries of barbara anderson".

  she told them that she believed mrs. anderson was telling the truth.

  she didn't think that mrs. anderson would have given so many years of service to jehovah and then just walk away.

  I really wish you could take a step back and view your post from a distance, then you would understand just how brainwashed people become by associating with this cult.

  Before making the decision, ask your study instructor to bring the hard bound 1995 Watch Tower. When they do ask her explain the generational doctrine shift that is evidenced in the preface of the WT magazine starting in Oct. 1995.

  You will note that the entire "religion" became something different with the stroke of a pen. If she says "new light" ask if that means that Jehovah was wrong when he gave the "old light" to the Governing Board or was it just a case of false prophecy? Now look up false prophet in the JW bible and see what you should do right from the horses' mouth so to speak. Jehovah might not be directing the Dubs but he is very clear about what to do with false prophets.

  did anyone answer the question like i did ?

  my gut always said no but my heart said yes.

  i wanted to believe in living forever like in those dam pictures, i wanted to be building those houses and hanging out with people on grassy mountain sides and have a freaking lion that would never rip my head off and that i could wrestle with.

  Any comments on the Society's highlighting special pioneers for the first time in probably 30+ years?

  It's the first attempt to soften up the R&F before putting the touch on them to pay the living expenses of the booted Bethelites.

  Lots of Dubs don't know jack about SP's and could care less. The WTBS needs to put them on a pedestal just below the GB and slightly above Jesus before those wallets open up.

  Not exactly sure what we need them for since with my lap top and the WT CDROM I can quote more scripture WT gibberish than any of them.
