Odd JW visit today

there was a knock on the door this morning.

i was expecting a parcel so eagerly went to the door to find a lone man in a suit standing there.

he asked if i spoke spanish, to which i said "no.

Members of foreign lang. congregations who are in service for the congo are only allowed to witness in that language period.

He might also have been on "census duty". People who want to "help out" the new FL congo but are limited in their command of the language are sent to blanket a territory and map-out the victims that speak the language.

they don't "need" to increase priced due to demand - they just can so they do.

have any of you ever really listened to what they are asking from god?

at the start of my association the prayers were pretty generic, but now *every* one asks that god only provide for other witnesses.

Being in the seat at the KH is the best way to spread dissent.

When Brother Amos asks "why do we only pray for other JWs when Jesus instructs to to do blah blah blah" you bet your ass that even the most brainwashed of the bunch sit up and take notice.

Go ahead and keep whining on the web site and let me know how many JWs fade as a result.

Have any of you ever REALLY listened to what they are asking from God? At the start of my association the prayers were pretty generic, but now *every* one asks that God only provide for other Witnesses. Fark the rest of the world I guess? Is there a difference between this and asking blessing for example for only those members of your race? How about only for residents of only your nation?

Anyway when this hard-line approach started I actually investigated main-stream churches to see if they did they same; and they don't.

I couldn't think of anything less "Christian" or less a less responsible way to inculcate the young ones in the congregation!

My pre-Memorial plans involve attending a birthday party/egg-hunt that one of my 4y/o daughter's friends will be throwing at Shoreline Park.

After the festivities I plan on changing into my best casual clothes and hitting the Memorial.

That's Right! No Mo-Fo ties fo' me no mo'!

..Vending Machines and JW Assemblies..

.."out of order"..no vending machine is complete at a jw assembly,without an "out of order" sign on it.....of course it`s not true..the machine works fine..it`s just one of the many lies jw`s are willing to accept from the wbt$.....although..this lie is extremely large and visible,it`s a frigg`n vending machine!..lol!

!.............does the management that rents the facilities to the wbt$,know the wbt$ is disabling them?....does the owners of the vending machines know the wbt$ is disabling them,and interfering with their right to do business in that facility?......could the wbt$ be sued for loss of vending machine business?.......wouldn`t it be fun to let the vending machine owners know their machines are being disabled,at jehovah`s witness assemblies?......it would mean more bad publicity for the wbt$ for lying and court cases they couldn`t win...................outlaw

FreeWilly....Wife became part of the Org. when she was 14 yrs of age. apparently dropped out about 5 or 6 years ago (before we met). We have been married for just over one year, and she returned to the Org about 3 months ago.<<

NO seriously, you married one person and very shortly you will meet the "real" person inside, the one who lives to serve the WT and is incidentally married to some "unbeliever".

It will suck to be you very shortly when you find that you rate well below her cult on the list of things most important to her.

I suggest you print out some of the material about this cult and get both of you in front of a decent marriage counselor before your life turns to crap. At the very least you wifey will have something to think about besides the mind-control given by the Org.

Why Do JW's not use Child care or Sunday Type School?

while i have only been to one meeting my entire life i have always found it odd that jw's don't use child care or sunday type school for children.

It's because the Org follows Jesus' example on how to treat children!

OK scratch that....

Umm it's because Jesus teaches that "You must become as children" that the WT molds children to be as much like adults as possible.

Yeah that's it!
