Good point Aug, No. Flesh and Blood cannot enter the kingdom, but as you say, Flesh and Bones apparently can.

here is a list of contradictions between what the watchtower society says and what the bible says:.
the watchtower says that judas iscariot left the lord's evening meal (memorial) before jesus instituted the new covenant and passed the wine and bread.. what does the bible say?:.
luke 22:13: they went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the passover.

Hi Shelly, about Jesus as Michael, as Michael he was more powerful.
Strange as it may sound, Jesus the man had no power at all. All the mighty works were done by the spirit of Jehovah within him. This is explained in John 5.19. and John 3.34.

hey,.
i would be grateful to anyone who could give me some feed back on the "one witness policy".. i can't get over how if someone is convicted by a court of law for abuse, but denies it to the elders then they can't be disfellowshipped.
i've spoken to most of my family over this and several elders, they (mostly, apart from the true die-hards) all find it hard to accept.. surely this is no different from the catholics who don't ex-communicate.. surely they have to do something about this.. .
The difficulty here is actually a scriptural one:
"Do bot admit an accusation against an older man except only on the evidence of two or three witnesses ." (1Tim 5.19)
As you know, everything that goes on outside the Org. is of the devil anyway - this would also include 'the devil's courts' - which is all part of the present 'system of things' which the Lord will destroy at Armageddon.
I know all this sounds nuts to the uninitiate, but to those still 'in the truth', it is very real!

and can the wt learn from other churches?.
the general conference of adventists held in toronto canada.
no adventist will ever be disfellowshiped again.. voted to change the term "disfellowshiped" to 'remeoved from membership".
Thanks Barry for that useful bit of information. As you know, in the borg, not seeing eye to eye with the GB on doctrinal matters is a 'Cardinal' sin' and out you go!
I was wondering what scripture has to say about it. The only two I can find is in Matt 18:15-17 :-
"Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go lay bare his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not listen, then have it out before two or three witnesses. If he will not listen to them, then bring the matter before the whole congregation. If he will not even listen to the congregation, then let him be to you as a man of the nations and as a tax collector."
In other words, he should be disfellowshiped. But it's still a bit up in the air just what kind of sin Jesus was talking about. The other transgression which Paul deals with has more to do with our love for the Lord:-1 Cor 16.22.
"If anyone has no affection for the Lord, let him be accursed."-Pat.

catholics seek a voice in church's response to scandals.
meeting: lay members gather to demand greater openness from leaders and more decision-making power.. .
Yeah you're right. While I have wondered if a mutiny was possible I know it is just the stuff dreams are made of. But if the media took it up the same way they did with the priests, then I think people would leave. This would be a cause of concern for the GB.

Real good point, We, like the Catholics have left it all with the elders, overseers, and finally with the G.B. We were confident they had the mind of Jehovah.
We were all basking in God's Love, but all those of other churches were of Satan "He who sins is of the devil ..." wrote John in his first epistle ch.3. They were the sinners, we were the 'holy ones'.
But now we find, those that sin, who are of the devil, are right in our leadership.!!!
But will the faithful rally in the same way as the Catholics are doing?
Not a chance! The Armageddon is too close to start thinking about things like that. We will let Jehovah deal with it!

Hey I'm a newbie here, I've been busy lurking it all over. It lurks good!
Hope to eventually get involved in some good and lively discussions.
In another forum someone was wanting to meet a Witness in good standing. Well, I'm still a Witness but not in very good standing. I can tell. Those who use to be real friendly, are being noticeably cool to me lately. Has someone told them I frequent W.T. bashing sites on the net? Guilty as charged. Perhaps if I put in a few more hours a week in field service - that should do the trick.
Yeah, what exactly did the W/T prophesy about 1914 before that date? Wasn't it that Jesus would return in great glory with all the Old Testament holy ones? I hear the Judge built a mansion for all these saints then moved in himself to keep the house nice and warm for the Patriachs. Thoughtful of him wasn't it? I hear he lived in it unitil he died.
The Judge really knew how to live. He now has a mansion up in Glory Land and one down here too. He had the best of both worlds.
Nuff said - Pat.
