No this is not crap it is the way the money world works, if you understanding it you can make you lot of the money. I will how about you.

Something you need to consider when preaching about money, Skyman, is that some of us don't care. Money means very little to me. Retirement means even less. I love what I do to earn money and don't have the need to ever give it up. I have fulfilling activities that don't require huge sums of money. I don't find pleasure in collecting money or the stuff it buys.

If you do, that's fine and I wish you well. If you disagree and can discuss why, I'll listen. But why call others stupid just because they don't agree with you or don't share your high regard for money?

Oh wait...... now I get it. You're just trying to get a rise out of us, get us all agitated and upset till we give in to your way of thinking. I should have realized ..... that's the same stuff those pompous JWs pull to get us to "adjust one's thinking".

Simply put, I agree with Soledad.

Whether or not the economy collapses, there isn't a single thing any of us can do about it.
So why even be concerned.

I've been putting off buying a big screen TV but I'm going to do it today.

Just in case the economy does collapse and they catch it on video.

This last one is almost never given as punishment. guess why...

I would have to guess because in the eyes of the men dictating what God approves of and expects of His servants, field service is nowhere near as important as these cited by DannyBloem:

... Like being responsible for handing out kingdom ministeries, making coffee, doing the magazines, handing out terretory maps, walking with the mc, being cheapman, doing the closing prayer, reading the watchtower.

So, then, would it be safe to assume (since these privileges are awarded by the Ones appointed by God to Shepherd and carry His word to the Flock) that God places field service, the preaching of his word and spreading of the good news of His kingdom, last on the list of important things for His servants to do?

Yeah. Indeed, go figure.

GWB and friends manage to find and broadcast these vague obscure tapes that warn of possibly, maybe, a chance of future attacks, but never paid any attention to over two years of warnings received prior to 9/11?

Shunned on my home turf for the first time!

long story short -- my father-in-law and uncle-in-law came today to buy some appliances from a friend of ours.

while my father-in-law seemed willing to stretch the "necessary family business" clause to its limits to talk and joke and be basically human, my uncle was cold as a witch's dead penguin.

if i said anything to him related to the task at hand, he answered as minimally as possible.

Of course it did. Being obviously ignored makes any caring person feel uncomfortable.

Be glad that you are beyond such silly hypocritical behavior and hold your family a little closer in gratitude. If the others do wake up to the cruelty of their actions, welcome them back with an open heart (and bottle of wine).

I'm impressed. You couldn't have been too devastated if you had the foresight to properly chill the wine -- instead of just popping the cork and guzzling!!!

heehee, today is the day....

i lose the dub look.. in comes experimental hair color.. bleach blond with red.

soon a pierced nose.. a few years ago i did ruby highlights on black and my sister outright said it was too punky and the elders would more than likely take away my privileges.. this is my way of "stickin' it to the man" (ok, i got that from the sprint commercial, but it sounds good.. my husband loves it.

i started the process last night, but my hair is so dark, it's taking 2 days.. it should be interesting running into people from ye ol' hall.. .

That's a good lesson in not judging by appearance Meagan. Something we all need to keep in mind.

Outward appearance can be a reflection of a person within... an expression of creativity and love for oneself. I think many who get tattoos and body piercings are actually showing love of their bodies by wanting to adorn them with beautiful things.

The chemo was a little over two years ago, a recurrence of a previous cancer that needed to be treated aggressively. Yes, I'm fine and keep myself healthy, thanks for asking!

So............................. are you a ravishing blonde yet???????

Meagan, just like many others here, lots was said and done that is unbelievable.

The biggest problem I had with it was trying to understand why this God, in whom I had so much love and faith for helping me find the strength to heal, would be displeased about my not having hair .

I have it figured out now, and it's more funny than anything else at this point.

But getting back to you and your new look --- it IS what's on the inside that counts. Have fun discovering the real you, but do stay respectful of your body, don't hurt yourself!

Wow Blondie, you never cease to amaze me with what you dig up!

I was talked to for exactly those reasons when I was bald from chemo. They said the respectful thing would be to wear a hat and wig so as not to make the rest of the congregation uncomfortable. Who knows, they might have even used your same reference, I was too sick to absorb most of what they said.

With your knowledge and ability to research and apply these obscure references, you'd make a great elder -- that is, if you just weren't so kind spirited!

Swan, enjoy your morph into becoming your own person! Don't worry -- if you go bald, it'll grow back!!!
