  What proportion of JW kids stay Witnesses? How about in your cong?

  the wts is currently growing at about 1.3 % which is similar to the global propulation growth rate.

  if all the jw kids stayed as jws then the religion could grow as quickly as it is now without any door knocking.. if in 2005 1.2 billion hours witnessing resulted in the religion only growing at the rate it should be naturally it suggests a lot a kids are leaving, or doorknocking is not having very good results.. of about 100 people born into the wts that i can remember in my congregations in australia about 3/4 of them have left.

  The amount of your people in the congs are diminishing FAST!

  Its very rare for me to go to a hall and find young people my age (early 20's)

  I usually see it like this: By age 18 there are those who are still in and if they have not left by the time they graduate from high school then they will probably be the next generation of DUB fantics.

  But the majority of those who do leave usually don't come back.

  I find "young people" who are usually in their mid-teens (13- 18 ) and older ones who are in their mid-20's (23-27 etc) But never in the middle.

  I'm the only one in my hall who's my age.

  Question for JWs still on the "inside":

  just a question: if you are still jws (for any reason, many just can`t leave because their entire families are wrapped around it, etc), but don`t believe in it, and lead a "double life", how do you cope with going door to door?

  i just can`t imagine how it must feel like to go out there and try to tell people at the doors or in the streets things you know are just bs!

  how do you deal with that?

  From my Great grandparents to my nieces there are 5 generations of witnesses in my family. I think I have in excess of 100 witness relatives.

  WOW! Must be tough.

  I preach the "bare truth". I just give mags, and don't return.

  Same here! But I take it a step further. I purposely make sure I get a handful of literature at the counter each week.

  Call me crazy but I do this, take them all home and dump them in the trash at the end of each month (usually amounts to over 30 magazines and about 10 books)

  I figure I am doing my part to keep at least some of that brainwash propaganda out of the hands of an innocent person.

  Still in it for my family. I could care less about dub "friends".

  I second that! How can anyone call those people there 'friends"? let's see how much of a friend they are when you slip up one day and voice one of your doubts against the Society.

  i may force myself to attend the meeting that covers the 'medical trends video " coming up week of jan.30.

  would any like to suggest comments for the review of the video ?

  i hope to at least to add a comment on "how tolerable is anemia for humans " , by adding this advice really does not apply to those that are elderly or have heart conditions because it is a fact death rate is much higher for this group if anemia is also present.

  My Sercuit Overseer is a JERK!

  well my sercuit overseer visit was this week and this guy is a real a-hole.

  apparently our mic handlers are pretty slow.

  they always take forever to give the mic to the hand-raiser and sometimes even forget to turn the stupid things on first.
