  Quick survey for apostates - please everyone just yes or no answer

  do the other witnesses with whom you associate/once associated in general know that you are an apostate or have apostate inclinations?

  the reason for the phrase "in general" is that it may be the case that one or two close friends know how you feel, but others in general do not.

  in my own case, one other witness knows, but no one else, so i would answer the survey question with a "no".

  So What Exactly is an Unbaptized Publisher

  a lady i know was telling me that she studied for 10 years and was considered an upbaptized publisher before being baptized.. is that possible, i didnt think and organization such as the jw's would let you just soak up all their "knowledge" without becoming one of the crew... :)

  although havent been on here in a while since i had my son, i came on here asking for advice because i was having trouble dealing with the fact my husband was thinking about going back to the dubs, and he still hasnt gone back..yayayayayay... and im soooo happy, he still has most of their beliefs , but thats okay, they arent 100% bad, they helped him change his life..but i dont bother him cuz i dont want him runnin back!!!

  Good point! LOL! I should ask someone bout that one.

  I was an "unbaptized publisher" right before my baptism. That's pretty muchw what it is. Ya wanna get baptized-gotta be an unbaptized publisher first which has always been no more than 6 mos. for most of the young ones.

  A Pedophile in our local congo--WHAT SHALL I DO PUBLICALLY? mmmmm...

  for some months we have known of a pedophile in our congo who molested his daughters years ago and we were told this by the pioneer sister who used to get a lift from him and his wife but won't now go with them .

  we hav'nt been for some time but are having our own seperate issue over this type of problem and spoke to elders who we reqested to see for ages ,and they finally came around and i questioned them about this pedophile and the societies stance on this sought of thing, whether anything has changed in policy and of course it has'nt and i threw it at them that they have not warned the congo of his past conduct and he has been seen at the hall trying to hug kids and of course the brothers and sisters think he is just a jolly grandfather type !!!!!!!

  of course most are ignorant of the real him and i pointed out also that we can't go to the hall to worship along a filthy scum like this.

  My mother snapped at me today

  so my mom comes downstairs to use the computer and i forget to pick up the stuff i printed off, which was about the shunned father's story.

  and when my mom came upstairs, i was up getting a beer and talking with my dad, she snaps, "don't you ever print anything off about jehovahs witnesses on my computer anymore.

  " that was it for me, "well i'm sorry that you need to find out about the truth.

  Even when I was putting on my act I would still catch hell.Could not seem to do anything right in my parents eyes.

  Amen to that! My mom is queen of comparing me to witness kids I have no connection to whatsoever. I used to joke about her awful parenting skills to my teachers when I was younger.

  Hey girl. You already know we're in the same boat. At least you are more well off financially more than me. I still live at home and at times I am so close to just wanting to leave right now and move in with my boyfriend. I know he could support us both till I figured it all out but that would not be wise of course.

  I used to argue and b*** at my mom too just to let out all my frustration when I could. But then I realized it just left me pissed off and even more frustrated then if I had just kept quiet. You can't have an educated debate with a DUB-wether there your mom or the sister you're working out in serivce. Its pointless-its like talkin to a brick wall.

  As we ALL grow older, we realise our parents aren't the entire universe or an authority on just about anything.

  SO true! I grew up in not only a religiously strict home but also culturally. Bad combination. Most of the girls in my parents hall (and boys) live at home till they get married even if that is well into their 30's.

  Focus on school. I would also try to save for a car also. Good for you for handling all your own bills. When we're finally both out we'll plan our own Apostafest trip togethor.

  I was kinda down and out today....

  so i went for a ride and stopped by this scenic overlook not to far from my house.

  i sat on the bench there just looking at the mohawk valley at its best.

  i started thinking what a waste life is when you don't have anyone to share beautiful moments like this with.

  Thanks guys you really are true friends. Try getting any help from the Org. All they'll do is bring over a pile of shit for you to read and tell you to wait on Jehovah. I've waited long enough.

  Couldn't say it better my friend. Even though I don't know what you are going through i know my time will come when I finally make the transisition out of the ORg. So thanks for sharing your story.

  Tomorrow is a new day though. I hope its a better one for you

Anyone remember those past 2 "its caption time" threads. One was on the newest WT article on Angels and the other was on that awake magazine with the baby and mom on the cover. I need a good laugh.
