  I personally take no issue with striking back at military locations. What they did was beyond a cheap shot below the belt.

  could god have been to preoccupied with bonds breaking mark mcguires home run record to answer the prayers of thousands who perished in the wtc?

  I have to admit that I'm suprised that the defense and coaching from last years championship game against FSU is back in 2001. I'm too sure where they have been hiding the last 6 weeks, but they showed up in Dallas this weekend.

  Has anyone prepared for further attacks here?

  just wondering.. i find myself having little mini panic attacks about all this.

  now that i have a little one to be responsible for, i am a little nervous.. i am strongly fighting the urge to have my car loaded up with a weeks worth of supplies for us (ie food, gear, clothes, diapers, water) so if something happens big here - i can head out to canada.. warning (haha) be ready my canadian friends - my daughter and i may be joining you.. anyone else feeling these "survivalist" feelings?????.

  the us launched an air strike on key cities in afghanistan around 12:45 est today.

  president bush says that we are specifcally targeting taliban military installations, and terrorist training camps.

  may god be with us all.. .

  I'm reposting this from another thread:

  What to do if you happen upon a peace rally by stupid naïve hemp-shirt-wearing college idiots, to teach them why force is sometimes needed:

  1) Approach dumb rich ignorant student talking about "peace" and saying there should be, "no retaliation."

  2) Engage in brief conversation, ask if military force is appropriate.

  3) When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"

  4) Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because that would
  just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence."

  5) When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.

  6) When he gets back up to up to punch you, point out that it would
  be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that
  would, "be awful and he should not cause more violence."

  7) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence.

  8) Punch him in the face again, harder this time. Repeat steps 5
  through 8 until they understand that sometimes it is necessary to punch back.

  "I can't find my car..."

  one of my closest friends in all the world is someone i'll call m. m is in her mid-thirties and was raised a jw from infancy but is one no longer.

  her parents are still very jw... her dad is a very high profile, respected elder in a large american city.

  they are both cool people... i've sat and had long talks with both of them about subjects having nothing to do with 'the truth.
