The religion went further and attacked victims of abuse that interviewed for the newspaper articles. Victims were told they would be sued into poverty if they did not retract the stories given to the newspaper of being raped as children. One girl due to intimidation withdrew her story and other victims went into hiding.

This not what Christ would do but most certainly the Devil would. So who runs the WTBTS again?

Are all those "minor prophet" books relevant today?

according to the wt, just about everything in the hebrew scrips.

has a "type" and an "architype".

it all applies somehow to the "last days".

Those books were written by Israelite prophets and they were for the day they lived in. It is not relevant to our day now. Many evangelical Christian religions want to point to these books saying they apply to our day but they just don't. Rabbi's have made comments on these books and they were not for Christians to twist.

i know a few here have and do so - i have listened to tons of the audio testimonials and have even had one poster here offer me a place to stay should i decide to go in october.

i just might go this time.. wnfj= witnesses now for jesus [ mostly former jw's and mormons] .

They make mistakes just like 1st century christians did.

when i'm discussing problems i have with the wts with my family they often say well they make mistakes just like the early christians did, they are not perfect.. i try to argue that if you think that way you can go to any christian church and say the same.

but usually they say that compared to other religions the wts makes less mistakes so you should go there.. i know that such reasoning doesn't make sense to me but what is a good response to this?.

Jehovah’s witnesses are just like the first century Jews. They could not let go of all the rules that they lived by for centuries. To be Christian was and still is a very simple process. Believe in Jesus Christ and extend love to all others.
