Tomorrow is my last day....
by LouBelle infrom about 10 am (south african time) tomorrow - i won't be on the forum....for 2 weeks, i am going to miss this place!!!!
there have been some fantastic topics, getting to know a few on here a little better.
if i get to me mums' laptop i may pop in for a post or two.. i don't have a pee cee at home (i have refused to buy one because i'd sit on it 24/7).. so to all who do the vigil - i will be with you each tuesday praying for strength and wellness for each of you.. i wish you all an excellent christmas and new year - have an absolute blast..

The BCS Bowl Extravaganza Is About To Begin. ARE You READY?
by freydi inwell, now that a bunch of sports writers and computer geeks have determined that the outcome of the national champeenship has been decided, it will be interesting to see if hawaii will go undefeated and then watch with bated breath as twice beaten lsu is crowned #1. whew..gets me all doubled up with emotion.
of course this has made all the other bowls irrelevant, imho, and i'm not even a fan as it seems more entertaining to listen to the talking heads and analysts than it is to actually follow what's going on down on the gridiron.
kind of like listening to weather forecasters see how close they can come to actual results, like last night predicting 6-12 inches of snow but only 3-4 actually fell.

Here's the reason for the 3% jump in publishers for the past year
by sir82 init is immigration that explains the vast majority of the increase.. who is it that immigrates?
the poorest of the poor, the desperate ones that would be dead from starvation or execution by gangs/guerillas within 5 years anyway.
these were not the ones being converted in their home countries - when you have to work 14-18 hours a day, 7 days a week just to feed your family, there is no time to "study", attend meetings, go out in field servce, etc.. so, they go to their new country.

What There Is to Enjoy About Christmas
by WTWizard inas witlesses, you always hear about christmas in a negative light.
all the running around to get gifts that will be returned the day after, the bills that come in january, the drinking and driving, and all the energy "wasted" on christmas lights and the headaches they get listening to christmas carols all day.. there is a good side of christmas, independent of the religious aspect of it.
i remember when i was little, i most looked forward to the gifts.

i was actually looking up missing verses and other information.
doing a little research of my own if you'd want to call it that.

The virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son, and they will call his name Im·man´u·el," which means, when translated, "With Us Is God."24
Then Joseph woke up from his sleep and did as the angel of Jehovah had directed him, and he took his wife home. 25 But he had no intercourse with her until she gave birth to a son; and he called his name Jesus.2
After Jesus had been born in Beth´le·hem of Ju·de´a in the days of Herod the king, look! astrologers from eastern parts came to Jerusalem, 2 saying: "Where is the one born king of the Jews? For we saw his star [when we were] in the east, and we have come to do him obeisance." 3 At hearing this King Herod was agitated, and all Jerusalem along with him; 4 and on gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people he began to inquire of them where the Christ was to be born. 5 They said to him: "In Beth´le·hem of Ju·de´a; for this is how it has been written through the prophet, 6 ‘And you, O Beth´le·hem of the land of Judah, are by no means the most insignificant [city] among the governors of Judah; for out of you will come forth a governing one, who will shepherd my people, Israel.’"7
Then Herod secretly summoned the astrologers and carefully ascertained from them the time of the star’s appearing; 8 and, when sending them to Beth´le·hem, he said: "Go make a careful search for the young child, and when YOU have found it report back to me, that I too may go and do it obeisance."9 When they had heard the king, they went their way; and, look! the star they had seen [when they were] in the east went ahead of them, until it came to a stop above where the young child was. 10 On seeing the star they rejoiced very much indeed. 11 And when they went into the house they saw the young child with Mary its mother, and, falling down, they did obeisance to it. They also opened their treasures and presented it with gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. 12 However, because they were given divine warning in a dream not to return to Herod, they withdrew to their country by another way.Gifts were giving to Jesus for being born king. Was it on his birthday that the wise men showed up to his house? Why did "Jehovah" allow these men to make it to Jesus' house in the first place?
So Jesus’ birthday was celebrated with gifts and it was acceptable to God! (or as you would like to call Him Jehovah)

Some things I have noticed since my husband has gone back to the KH
by GoodnessGracious inhe uses terms like: .
~ its okay if you dont recognize gods sovergnty .
~ its okay , you dont know better, if you knew what i knew then you wouldnt (celebrate xmas) lol .. i told him i knew what he knew, and its irrelevant, havent gotten to the fact they can play with pinatas because they dont mean the same thing they used to.

Jesus celebrated his birthday along with his parents, as they accepted the gifts brought to them by the wise men. If God did not what Jesus to have these gifts & his patents celebrating his birth God would have stopped the wise men from reaching Jesus’ home.

Being of the "Anointed Class" myself I must say I have my suspicions about some of the women who say they are Anointed"! I am certain after talking to Jehovah that women are not going to be kings in heaven with me!
Yet some of them insist they are of the "Anointed Class", I am going to put out an updated view on this matter relieving all females from this group. I am in charge of the WTBTS.
PS. Keep up the good work & send more money!
