the antichrist is a liar and a deceiver, bent on destroying a persons relationship with christ and with god.

john 2:22 - who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that jesus is the christ?

• Is Jesus the "mediator" only for anointed Christians?
Moses was the "mediator" of the Law covenant made between God and the nation of Israel. (Gal. 3:19, 20) Christ, though, is the "mediator of a new covenant" between Jehovah and spiritual Israel, the "Israel of God" that will serve as kings and priests in heaven with Jesus. (Heb. 8:6; 9:15; 12:24; Gal. 6:16) At a time when God was selecting those to be taken into that new covenant, the apostle Paul wrote that Christ was the "one mediator between God and men." (1 Tim. 2:5) Reasonably Paul was here using the word "mediator" in the same way he did the other five times, which occurred before the writing of 1 Timothy 2:5, referring to those then being taken into the new covenant for which Christ is "mediator." So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the "mediator" only for anointed Christians.

Thus all regular people can not approach God in prayer!
So why bother praying at the Kingdum Hall unless one of the "Anointed" are present to do all of the praying?

came accross this interesting info about the history of the bible.

it's a bit long,(12 parts) but definitely worth it.

if it is true it would explain alot of things.

i am half way through this book by carl o. jonsson and the more i read the more certain i become that the 607bce date for the destruction of jerusalem by babylon is nothing more than a fabrication designed to uphold 1914 and hence the "authority" of the watchtower leadership.it makes me sick to think of how they have duped millions of people with their phoney chronology.it makes sitting through studies that mention these dates irritating to say the least.especially when all the heads nod in unison at the mention of the "magic 607"

i have never really looked on the jw's "official" website but i did today and i was looking around and noticed a lot of topics of today that are on debate are found on there (obviously) but why am i not surprised of how much effort goes into the topics?

Yup, something I will never do either. I have no interest in reading the latest drivel coming out of the WTS. I dont' see the point.

The point is weight loss. If you read the drivel you will throw up..

2008 Yearbook?

so, when does the 2008 yearbook get released?

i remember years ago the yearbook would start production in the bindery about mid-november...but that was when it was a hardback and had the daily texts.

can we expect to see the annual report soon?

I think for the society, it would be PURE genious to stop publishing the count. I mean think about the rumors. People would start to think the end is even closer if they thought that the 144,000 quota was nearing its end.

i have seen it referred to on the board that there is yet another change to the generation teaching.......doe anyone have the notes on this?

Yes, I was talking to Satan yesterday and he said that the generation teaching is whatever you what to believe as long as you remain in his cult of JW’s.

Tax collector or publican

luke chapter 18:9-14 says- 9 and he spoke this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others 10 two men went up into the temple to pray the one a pharisee and the other a publican 11 the pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, god i thank you that i am not as other men adulterers or even as this publican 12 i fast twice in the week i give tithes of all that i possess 13 and the publican standing afar off would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast saying god be merciful to me a sinner 14 i tell you this man went down to his house justified rather than the other, for everyone that exalts himself shall be abased and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.. now to be fair i have met some people in the tower who are generally humble, but i was wondering out of this parable who does the rank and file jw and governing body, elders, circuit overseers basically follow after.the tax collector or the lowly publican?.

i mean it is certain that the watchtower does despise others [ worldly, etc] and they do generally have the tax collector attitude of " i thank you god that i am not like other men.and a lot of them are anything but humble and abased.. this is evident even in the ministry when i was out there were some that would leave the houses muttering " its there funeral at armaggedon.. one elder even said once to me that the best part of the truth is that the wicked dont have a say in whether there going, jehovah will just remove them whether that want to go or not.. what do you think?

The Witchtower has no representation in this illustration. The Witchtower Society is represented in the scriptures as Satan the Devil.
