..A New TV Show About exJW`s??!!..

reposted to help tv producers of ex-jw series: my name is shauna woods and i work for hot snakes media, an acclaimed television production company based in new york city.

we have developed and produced hit content for tlc, discovery, and travel channel among many others.

I think it would be interesting if it ever happened, but I don't see this getting off the ground. I hope I'm wrong, but the only way I see this being an interesting show is if they featured people who have a lot to lose by leaving ... someone who has a lot of family in or a lot of friends. I don't think most people living in that situation would be willing to participate. (I wouldn't). I think the only ones they will get that are willing to participate are ones that are on the cusp of the witnesses, with few close contacts inside. The other type of people I see that might be willing to participate are very young JWs who want to leave and who may be a bit impulsive.

Personally, I don't think this proposed show will show JW's OR ex-JWs in a good light. (The former I could care less about.)

RC & International attendance???

just wondering to those that have gone to one of the international or rc assemblies what's the attendance been like.

wondering if people are still willing to spend so much money and travel to go to a convention or if more people are just saying no??

In Kansas City, they were expecting 17,000 and their attendance was only 15,000, so I would say having to travel farther and stay in hotels is definitely taking its toll.

The ONLY way it would affect me is that I would lose all contact with my family. And it looks like that is same for everyone.

That is why their shunning practice works so well. Nobody cares about any other repercussions.

It is a cruel institution that works exactly as they want it to.

i have tried copying the embed link from youtube and inserting in as html code in my messages.

it appears to be there in the preview box, but when i hit submit, it disappears!

what am i doing wrong?.

What would be your favorite job if you could do anything.?

on the basis that most of us realise the w.t wasnt really the best " job" or way to spend our days, it would be fun to find out what people would really have liked to have done with there lifes and if this is still possible.

or maybe its not even a very realistic ambition just a dream.

in my dreams i stay at home all day and make a living from being a professional artist.maybe i need a phycholgist?.

List of Trademark Applications made by the Watchtower (JW.ORG was Refused!)

tl;dr: jw.org and jw library is not trademarked because the us patent office keeps refusing their application.

i don't think either will ever be trademarked, as their design currently stands.

jw rank & file can make all the cheap promotional crap they want and the watchtower can't do a thing about it (legally anyway.).

Actually, if you do a search for all logos with JW in there, there are a few. I think it's funny they rejected it based on the similarity to JW PLAYER, when it looks nothing like it. JW PLAYER does like a whole like JW LIBRARY, which they are also trying to copyright, though.

It said in the paperwork, that the reason they rejected it based on similarities is because they are just looking at the JW part of it. The papers said what comes after it is not important because most consumers will look at the JW part first and associate the logo with the wrong company.
