I am losing
by NoMoreHustle ini haven't posted anything for a bit, but wanted to express how i am losing this battle.
it has been over 3 years now since i woke up about watchtower.
the battle that i am talking about is the tug of war with my wife (i adore her immensely), watchtower is winning, she simply will not give in to my so-called negative thoughts about the religion that we are in.

I think she is conditioned to defend her faith whenever she feels threatened. They teach their members to not only expect criticism, but to wear it as a badge of honor of proof that they are the chosen ones. I would do what others have suggested and accept her for what she believes right now, and be ready to catch her when it all crumbles. -

It's easy to see why the Witnesses don't want to lay too much claim to Russell as their founder.

Feeling A Bit Down Today
by jacobm inhey y'all, .
i'm not sure about you, but i occasionally get those days where i feel a bit down, as if i have no friends.
i do have a number of great friends, though, and am very thankful for them.. i think it might have to do with the residual programming of having a "worldwide brotherhood".

Yes, I remember that feeling. I have been out for 15 years and it still hits me sometimes. It helps me to remind myself that those connections may have felt real, but they were not. They were conditional and fleeting. It is a worldwide brotherhood that anyone can join, and the only cost is your conscience and mental freedom. It wasn't worth it. Enjoy your freedom and remember there are real connections to make with people in the world that are more meaningful than the ones the JWs suggest they ever have. -

The people are mobilizing Mr Drumpf
by Simon inprotesters shut down a trump rally.
massive numbers of people are out in chicago and have shut his event down.
there were scuffles inside the event.. despite his lame attempt to pretend the violence he instigates is nothing to do with him it's clear that it is as the cnn quotes during the last event showed only too well.. this doesn't happen at anyone else's events - candidates have even given up the stage to protesters, not called for them to be beaten and punched.. trump is an ugly person and this is just a small taste of what a future under his rule would be like.. shame on the gop for not kicking his ass out.

I was wondering, are Canadian and British politics as entertaining as those in the US. If so, can you can direct me to some sites?
Nothing is more entertaining than the saga of Toronto mayor Rob Ford. We have our messes in the US, but Canada can definitely keep that train wreck of a politician.

Just think how the world might have been different if people had stood up and taken a stronger stance against Hitler when he was running for office in Germany. -

I think it's funny they are called "one of the oddest communities that ever existed in this country."
There have been some pretty "odd communities" here in the States, so that is really saying something!
