Yes, Watching the World always slammed the Catholics. Does JW literature still attack the Catholics as much as they did in 70s/80s?
I do remember them condemning the Catholic Church for their responses to child sex abuse. How ironic.
didn't they use to print crossword puzzles in the awake?
i vaguely remember my mother doing them, and me trying to do them when i was a small child.
is this an accurate memory or could i be thinking of a non-jw publication.

i think she’s very intelligent and dignified.

Ask CNN wild thing
Min ... I don't even know what that means.
I'm through with this debate for now. Have a lovely day.

I just typed in Washington post got on the main page it’s the 17th article regarding Melania so please😴
How long do you think an article about an interview with the FLOTUS should remain at the top? In today's fast moving news cycle, I am honestly surprised it is still on the front page, but it is there. I did not notice any articles about Trump's penis, though. Perhaps, it was just too small for me to see.

Oh look, here it is ... "buried" on the front page of their website:

I look at the Washington post New York daily news New York post etc.I have seen more coverage of President Trump’s shape of his penis more than I have about how the first lady defended her husband and spoke of her independence. Not as newsworthy I guess.
Are you reading a different Washington Post and New York newspapers than I do? This has not been my experience. I would have to see this documented to believe it.
And by the way, everyone likes news stories that speak to their own beliefs, but just because a news story isn't flattering to the FLOTUS, doesn't mean it should be discounted. I have seen a considerable number of stories that talk about her claim that she is one of the most bullied persons in the world. THIS merits debate and conversation, especially since her husband is widely seen as a social media bully. An article that just talks about her defending her husband and how she is an independent woman, while important, isn't very discussion worthy or debatable.
when did you guys start to doubt your faith in god?'.
what made you doubt your faith in god?.
thanks !.
When I was 14, I prayed to Jehovah and said that I would dedicate my life to him and pioneer if he would stop my dad from abusing us.
"He" didn't. I didn't even want to be a JW anymore by the time I finished my first year of pioneering when I was 15. I realized JW elders were assholes, including my dad.

@minimus
They haven't? What in the world have I been reading and watching, then! It seems like they have covered it pretty well to me.
Have you tried doing a Google News search for "Melania Trump"?

Thanks bsmart for remembering the publication. I must have liked the Awake a lot better than the Watchtower, too.

Can you defend Trump's behavior toward women just on merit, without comparing him to someone who has displayed equally egregious behavior?

I believe there are JW-like behaviors on both sides of the "ex-JW aisle" when it comes to politics. These observations I have noted before are not an "I'm right, you're wrong" statement. Just an observation I've noticed.
I realize there are some non-JWs that do this same thing when it comes to politics, but my observation still stands. It is very black and white thinking, so matter what your background, that we should all try to avoid.
To label any politician as all good or all bad is not even reasonable. I struggle with this myself when it comes to Trump. Forget his actions as a president (which I also have some problems with), I have trouble getting past his substance as a person. His attitude and behaviors towards other people he doesn't like or agree with is just egregious. I am sure Trump has some redeeming qualities that are not apparent in his public persona, and every once in a while I see them. Very, very rarely. I am still looking, though.
