I remember that I had an argument with an elder two years ago. I told him it was crazy to say that Jesus compared the Kingdom with something BAD (like they said he did), and that it should mean something else.
And now the WT sees the light, too... wow, impressive.

i recieved 4 tapes of kingdom melodies from lee (thanks lee!
) so, i shoved one into my tape deck so i could hear "stay awake, stand firm, grow mighty" for the first time in ten years (man, that sounds like a song about my penis).
however, i discovered that the pressure pads have gotten crusty and fell out of two of these tapes, and the cheap bastards at watchtower didn't put screws in their tapes so i could easily fix them!
The tapes are horrible, and so are the video's. We bought/got them all, and some tapes are so bad we can't even hear the voice now and then..

They focus on how hope is realistic, and wishes are not. Then they tell us all about Moses how he was a proper example, his faith and hope, and how it helped him to do what Jehovah wanted.
Yet... they don't remember us that MOSES never was rewarded for his hope. He didn't get into the promised land.

the dutch branch of the society, has send a letter to all congregations in the netherlands about the dc this summer.
they stated that the series of dc in 2006 has end in a loss of 75.000 euro.
I heard the anouncement too. Of course it was about the conventions in 2005.
They did tell why the costs were higher...but they gave no explanation about why less money is coming in...:)
But now we are warned. I think it's like: If you don't give enough money this year, you will loose your big videoscreens, and DC will be as boring as before...
I also heard, Dutch Branch of the Borg has to ask Headquarters every single year, if they are allowed to hire those videoscreens.
So maybe if no money comes in, headquarters will not give their approval for next year...

Why can't they all be true? Maybe it's just a different kind of telling, but in fact the same story??
We all know thát there are legends about the flood all over the world. Maybe... because there HAS been a flood.
There are also in LOTS of religions stories about a saviour, a hero that will save the world. Why? Maybe because it's truth.
That's why I think it's all the same story, but science describes it in a different way than David Icke or Buddha. And the bible describes it in another way. But the story always ends with: LOVE will be the way.

And what about Rupert Shelldrake calls the "Morphogenetic Field" ??
And is 'God' maybe the same as this field?? Since God = Energy, and energy creates matter, and we are the image of God, so we are matter, but there is a lot of energy in us...We are all pieces of God, as we create.
I think it's a fascinating thought. If we are pieces of God, and Jesus showed us how to live, and he did miracles, and he told his students that if they only believed more they could do miracles, too...
I never understood why 'god doesn't do miracles nowadays' as the Borg claims. I can't read that in the bible.
