They’ve got other things to think about, such as all the talks and tasks they have to perform, the CO visit and so on.
... and what restaurant they will go to after FS or the Sunday meeting.
couple years ago as a promising ms i had some weird conversations with two young elders.
it was always as we where alone only i and the elder.
they would initiate a conversations about things like blood doctrine, celebrating birthdays, view on homosexuality etc.

we’ve all been following the norway trial.
here is an article to share: https://www.baptiststandard.com/news/world/jehovahs-witnesses-sue-norway-after-registration-revoked/.
after norway deregistered the jehovah’s witnesses last year, some human rights experts say the nation’s reputation as a bastion of religious freedom could be in question.. now, the jehovah’s witnesses of norway are suing the state for revoking their national registration and withholding state funds.
Thanks for the update, Tahoe. This bears watching.
the gb seems to have a bunker mentality, that they are special, and that the world is out to get them, so they tend to keep within their tightly controlled, protective environment.
bottlegate proved that there is some danger outside of the rarified atmosphere of their echo chamber; you never know when a camera might be trained on you, or that someone might recognise you as being something more than plain old "joe citizen".
further, tm3's new address was quickly found and distributed, and (as i understand it) someone drove to his gated community to tell the security guard that tm3's "ass is grass".

Have any of them known anything else?

information packed.
interesting take on paganism as well.
Leolaia's post linked by peaceful Pete above has all you need to know. It's superbly comprehensive.
what’s keeping them?
this has got to be the latest it’s ever been.
maybe it’s the last one they’ll ever publish too, after dropping reporting hours for publishers ….
SBF:
it seems to be mostly decreases all across the Americas in the western hemisphere.
But maybe they won’t publish the figures next year, and even if they do it will be counting a different thing as publishers report a “yes” rather than a number of hours each month.
Oh thou of little faith, have you factored in the droves of inactive male Witnesses who have left over the years in order to grow beards and will doubtless return this year? Then next year's FS report and accompanying broadcast vid will extol the beard policy change as "food at the right time, the light becoming brighter, Jah's blessing," etc., etc. Who knows? They may even institute a new column in the report on "Inactive Ones Reactivated".
You're just not keeping up with God's chariot, brother!

Doubtless the next JW Broadcasting episode will discuss the matter at length, openly revealing everything!

Thanks for the link. Massimo's at it still!
so, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.
old light: once the “great tribulation” starts, that’s it for non-jws.
the “door of the ark” is closed.
Thx for your summary and your questions. One point to consider, namely your query,
then what exactly is the point of the preaching work?
they have long taught that saving via the preaching work is not the primary purpose of it. It is first to make God's name Jehovah known. In this they have succeeded. I remember when I was out in the FS people used to say things like, "Oh, it's you Jehovahs again." I got so tired of it I almost told one householder. Yep, I'm Jehovah God. I've come down personally from heaven just to speak with you!" If I recall, I was being harassed some Machiavellian elder that day, so I was not in a good mood. But you've got to hand one thing to the org: they have made the name "Jehovah" known in a lot of places.
Perhaps the AM part here was partly to deal with the fact that the whole earth has not come to know this name, like in China, much of India, and most Arab lands (?).
if amg iii would return now to the congregation, he would be mad because of:.
- rank & file and elders not reporting fs time, very recent an issue to bring someone in highest correction mode.
- jw's with official beard permission .
I can’t help but think tomo 3 may have been the person standing in the way of things moving forward. This combined with his drinking and loud mouth were what got him axed.
I'll drink to that!
https://nltimes.nl/2023/12/11/jehovahs-witnesses-suing-dutch-state-discrimination .
the jehovah’s witnesses have sued the dutch state for discrimination, the religious organization informed trouw.
they consider it discriminatory that the government investigated them, but no other religious organization, for their handling of sexual abuse cases.. utrecht university conducted the investigation involved, following publications in trouw in which sexual abuse victims within the jehovah’s witnesses described what happened to them, and published the results in january 2020. utrecht university concluded that 60 percent of sexual abuse victims were very critical of how the jehovah’s witnesses handled their cases, scoring the handling a 1 out of 10. many victims were traumatized by how things were handled, the researchers said.. sander dekker, then the minster for legal protection, ordered the investigation at parliament’s insistence because the jehovah’s witnesses failed to arrange an investigation themselves, as the catholic church did at the time with the deetman commission.. the jehovah’s witnesses cooperated in the utrecht university investigation but unsuccessfully tried to stop the publication of its results.

So, they lost the case:

Frankly, at this point, I’m kinda surprised the Org even bothered in the first place…
…they’ve been losing in court so often lately, it feels like “ugh, what’s the point?”
They may have felt, "We have to do something!" Even after the loss, they will probably console themselves with "at least we tried."
