  Embarassing situation

  the other day, my mom foun pictures of me getting a lapdance.

  i was very embarassed when i saw it, but now she wants to read the bible to me so i won't go to strip clubs anymore.

  can you say "pure hell"?

  How were your presentations?

  were you the kind that stayed up for hours the night before finding the perfect point and the perfect scripture...or were you the one that was hastily trying to through something together the morning of and panicking when you realized the circuit overseer was visiting.

  and then there was me...i was lucky if i knew which magazines were "it" for that week, lucky if id read more than the first page, and developed a good deal of improve skill when that 25% "at home" rate popped up on my 1 door in 10. eeps.

  im not sure if anyone realized just how seat of the pants my approach to field service actually was.

  Oh how I hated giving talks. I was always told that they were really good but I hated getting up on stage. I would prepare for them on the day of the talk right after I got off work. Thinking about it now though, there was a time when I would show up and volunteer for the #4 talk just to show off a bit as I had already sorta written up something.

  the x jw dating site topic spurred me to check out the site for active jw singles.

  my mother recently married a brother from germany that she met though one of those sites.

  he is actually a pretty cool brother....for a brother, that is.. so i start looking for folks from my old cong in california and ran into a sisters profile that reads:.

  Just as long as she just pack a gun I guess its okay. Still, I bet the elders have had a chat with her about that.

  About a year ago I signed up for one of those(I couldn't resist as I still knew the secret handshake codeword). The next day I had 3 e-mails from around the world(they were rather hot). I quickly cancelled my account as I didn't want to lead them on, I still have somewhat of a conscience.

  My scheme was to chat a little bit and wait for them to say that they weren't interested. Worked wonders. Then if they took something, prepare for something on the return visit(tm).

  i'm just curious to know where my parents register on the scale of strictness...

  growing up, i felt absolutely smothered by my parents (mostly my mother).

  the things i couldn't do were above and beyond the limitations put on the other young people in our hall.

  I see a topic like this and its hard for me to even read some of the posts as it brings up such bad memories. I like reading all the posts but I just can't bring myself to start typing.
