I say the new loving arrangement will be that they'll sell off all the kingdom halls. Pocket the money. Tell the r&f to go home, get on jw.borg, wait for the glorious ones to tell them when armageddon starts. Maybe watch a Caleb video or two while you're waiting.

"at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".

Bicyclists
by poppers ini'm wondering what sort of biking shoes and pedals you are using.
i'm a road biker, so i enjoy speed and distance riding, and am upgrading my shoes and pedals.
anyone have experience with specialized road shoes with the boa stem?

Road specific shoes are great for racing, but when you walk into a 7-11 its like walking on ice with most of them.
There are a lot of mountain bike shoes that look like road shoes except they have some traction on the soles. The only problem there is that with most of them you need a SPD pedal.
If you've already got your 105 pedals though, no worries, you pretty much can't go wrong with Shimano.

When I worked in a bike shop I would often recommend to customers Caedes setup.
If you have a mountain bike and only want one pair of shoes to use on both, go with a good mountain bike shoe.
As to the brand, whatever fits best is best. That applies to helmets, clothes and bikes as well.
Edited to add: I usually prefer Sidi shoes myself but they can be hard to find.

Question for Atheists.. Did you gain a Greater Sense of Morality and Happiness?
by objectivetruth ini've heard some view points that state, atheists are generally more moral & caring for fellow humans, than are theists.. i'd like to hear some personal stories of life changes and quality of life after you became atheist.
i have a simple theory that may explain this.. i'll explain my theory if you'd like, after a few responses, as i really am interested in the personal changes that you experienced.. thank you very much, and i look forward to your stories..

If only China turned to Jesus.
Then they could go to confessional after they commit crimes against humanity.

US Supreme Court: Hobby Lobby wins we lose
by designs inthe old guys sided with hobby lobby today in denying birth control coverage to its female employees based on the owners religious views.
intact- is viagra for the guys.
funny how the far right evangelical owners of hobby lobby didn't want to touch that one.... read judge ginburg's scathing counter argument and opinion.. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/13pdf/13-354_olp1.pdf.

Exactly, Aunt Fancy. If this lawsuit had been brought by either a Muslim, a Scientologist or some other religion about something that "offends" them , it never would have gone anywhere. I see this more as red meat to throw to the tea party.

I like how much JWs' are being mentioned negatively in the news because of this because of blood transfusions.
My question is this: In all the times I've had insurance, my deductable was in the $2000 range or so. Is there insurance that would actually cover such a small amount as they're saying($9.00 a month for standard birth control pills) without it being a $1000 a month or so?

A Thread for Cyclists - Where Do you Ride?
by cofty ini took up cycing a couple of months ago just to get fitter and lose a bit of excess weight.. i bought a second-hand hybrid bike (weighs only slightly less than a truck) and fitted road tyres.
four or five times a week i will go for a ride after work for an hour or so.
i am fortunate enough to live in rural north england surrounded by limitless quiet roads.

Btw-nice pic, cofty. Looks like you have some nice places to ride.
@noonehome- as cofty said, seat postion and proper fit can be critical. With myself, I'm 6'4" and for me there's a lot of prescribed notions of bike fit that get thrown out the window. I usually need a bike that would be considered much too small and then have the seatpost at around the maximum height. I have seen people that need custom made frames as stock sixes just don't fit. If you need the seat slid back or forward, that changes the cockpit room which might require a shorter or longer stem. I'd recommend having someone who knows what they're talking about to look at your fit.
Also as cofty said, keeping a higher rpm helps your legs out a lot. Racers will spend the early season spinning in lower gears for over a thousand miles before they start pushing the higher gears. I'd try doing a bunch of 15-20km rides at a higher rpm, easier pace to get your legs used to that before going longer distances.
