Wow! ....just....wow!
How did I miss this these past few days? This is incredible.
victoria, australia: report on oct. 11th hearing involving steven unthank.
(this report is from an anonymous xjw who attended the hearing.
i had no plans to turn up to the court hearing as an observer, as in my experience, it can take several hearings and a number of months before any court case gets rolling.
Wow! ....just....wow!

surprisingly, i have little to say about.
nothing really stood out to me, unlike the convention.
it was all the same.. did anyone else get that feeling?
I used to go to that assembly hall. I even went over and helped build it (as much a 7 year old can help that is).
Yep, the assemblies were always boring there.

this is the video my apostabuddy put together about last week's caper.
enjoy!.
Why is everyone arguing? Don't do it for the benefit of those in attendence. They had more excitement in that one day than the last 20 years of assemblies.
so an apostabuddy wanted to stage a silent protest at the assembly hall where she was baptized.
we went today.
the plan was to wear these apostate t-shirts that had stuff printed on them about thinking for yourself, and a bunch of websites.
I bet there will be an article that bans the wearing of red shoes. AND IT WILL BE ALL SERENITYNOW!'S FAULT!!!!!!
it will take you less than 5 minutes to watch this, i promise it's worth it.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7x7szzsxys&feature=player_embedded#!.
How depressing!
great tribute to george harrison on hbo.. here comes the sun.
something.
name your favorite george harrison songs and memories..
Here Comes the Sun and My Sweet Lord....songs just don't get better than those two.
i'll keep this brief for now.. long time lurker (4 years or so).. born-in, elder, used on district level (last talk i gave before i left was the baptisimal talk), and lots of hard time put in...before i finally made the move to split.
it's a long stoy, much like many of yours...but with it's own little interesting twists.
more details in the future, perhaps.. as i said, ive lurked here for a while.. its funny: for a long time i'd only come on late at night.
Good lord, man! I said "one thing"!
I had issues with a lot of those same thing. Thanks for the background story.

Welcome! I'm so glad that your wife is out also (lots of sad stories around here when only one leaves).
So tell me, what was the straw that broke the camels back? What one thing made you say , "enough!"?
the watch tower society, the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses, the faithful and discreet slave, and the governing body of jehovah's witnesses, last week issued a "special" letter to all bodies of elders in the state of victoria instructing them to immediately apply for their working with children licenses and to comply with child protection laws.
the letter includes instructions that the contents are not to be made public or shared with members of the congregation.. .
this means an investigation authorized by the governing body of jehovah's witnesses and initiated by lawyers representing the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, inc. have concluded that the victorian working with children act 2005 and the associated child protection laws do indeed apply to all elders serving in congregations throughout the state of victoria both in the public ministry and in their internal ministry, which includes the theocratic ministry school.. .
I got a bit of a chuckle at the amount of the fine.
do you think is one of the unhealthy teachings among the wt?
i mean humans has been created with emotional and physical needs that relationships provide, right?.
Like EmptyInside, little bit of a sore spot. I'm sure my dead mom would be so proud that I'm still single at 45(that doesn't sound all Norman Bates, does it?). Getting married was always seen as a last resort. Like you were a failure if you succombed to the temptation of wanting to be with someone.
