I grew up with 4 bros and a sis - I was abused by my elder father - yada yada.....baptized at 13 (not by choice) married at 18 (not by choice) and tried my whole life to be the best Christian I could be (according to JW)....it was becoming increasingly impossible to live up to the JW format - became a pioneer and a MS - didnt help, I was still questioning everything.

Finally left 2 years or so ago at age 35 - and am now a born again Christian at the 4 square Gospel church...I am the drummer in the band at Church and enjoy a free life in Christ alone.

yeah - I see your point mouthy....thanks for the clarification - I agree with you. Mouthy I dont have a WT mind - I have a free thinking mind and that is why I questioned the facts about picketting. Thanks for your answer - but if I cant think different to you are you acting any different to WT?? I agree with you now you have answered - I just picket in a different way - I witness to them when they are at my door or where ever I meet with them.

Hi Mouthy and thanks for the welcome and for answering my question.

For the other 2 highly suspicious ones there that say Im still a JW - whatever....

I have left 2 years ago - been born again and I attend a charismatic church in Australia - 4 square gospel.

I love all people - even JW's....my goal is to witness to as many as possible in a loving manner. Thats how I got saved - a loving Christian (AOG) witnessed to me while I was at her door.

J.G. - I grew up in Australia as a JW - Im not saying that JW's dont teach this on blood and many other false things, I am saying that as a person, a human being a father of 2 and a Christian I would have given my wife, my children etc blood - I would have made that choice. I would not allow a denomination to do that for me. If I did, as many JW's do, then I am to blame not a loser organization.

People blame toooooo much - if they make a bad choice based upon fear of man...Isa 51:12 and then their child or wife etc dies because of that choice - then boo hoo, you made a bad decision and allowed man to manipulate you. You cant blame man for that - what was it that Eve said again??? Its not myyyyyy fault - it was the snake....and Adam??? Its not myyyyy fault - it was that woman that you gave me....etc etc.

In life we all are to take responsibility for our own choices

J.G. - how does one manipulate the law???

A law is in place and JW's take advantage - just as you would take advantage of a tax law to your favour if it was legal - why wouldnt they....how is this a bad thing?? At least they obey the law.

J.G. - I agree with you - but then Children are forced into a lot of crap by their parents in this world - why stop with the JW's, I would have thought that they were the least abusive people when it comes to "Bad People"...

its not JW's that need to be stopped abusing its mankind in general - JW's dont teach to abuse or not to take blood - People choose that for themselves....I was a JW not long ago and all my life - But I would have given my children blood. People are to blame for bad choices not religion.

The victim act is sooooo sad.

The protests are viewed as a joke by JW's inside.

The witnesses know who their father is....John 8:44

I personaly think people need to spend more time on the more important things in life than doing and supporting this sort of anti-christian behaviour.

I mean please could you imagine Jesus standing outside the temple with a banner and a sign picketting against the Pharisees?? Or did He show by His way and teachings what was truth - after all we all have free choice.

Hi Guys - I'm new here and have only broken away from the Jehovah's Witnesses recently but I was wondering if these protesters achieve anything at all?

Like how successful are they??

I know they used to scare me and convince me that I did indeed have the truth and that those who left were truly in Satan's control.

I know that is not true now - but does anyone believe they do any good or would their time and resources be better used else where??
