Rising gas prices, field service, meetings
by Jourles ini recalled the other day how several years ago my wife tacked on over 60k miles in about a year and a half on one of our cars while pioneering.
it still makes me ill thinking about it.
then i began to wonder how the recent gas price surge is affecting normal field service activities and meeting attendance.

<div> I wish I had a nickle for every hour that I counted as "service" when I was really banging away at my regular-pioneer girlfriend. God, those were the days. We were the picture of hypocrisy. LMAO tfsm, way to go! ....tapping on doors so light hoping no one would come to the door...</div>

Do the Witnesses Still Go Door to Door?
by tfsm ini have lived at my current address for approximately five years and i have not had any visits from the witnesses.
i don't really want any but here's the deal: i left "the truth" about fifteen years ago.
i wasn't disfellowshipped or anything and (since i moved to another state) it was a relatively clean break.

when i was about 16 years old, my little brother who was 14 came running in the house laughing. There where dubs a few houses down from ours. He wanted to scare them so we ran around the house like mad and he found a black sheet and wrapped it around him like a cloak, and i got some of my moms lips stick and painted a pentagram on his forehead, and we popped a marilyn manson cd in the stereo, when they rang the doorbell we blasted that cd full blast and he swung the door open rolling his eyes in the back of his head, i was peeking out the window and i thought they were going to faint, they ran down the drive way and were running down the road full steam, lol i think i laughed my head off for the whole day...

by in a new york bethel minute ini started fading two and a half years ago... and i have never been contacted once.
not even a call to see how i was doing.
my mom is still a diehard dub and doesn't even think it unusual.

when my mom left the jw's 10 years ago, she was contacted once, she had a bunch of questions that she asked the elders that came by and asked about scriptures that conflicted with the dubs teachings. They said they did not have answers and would have to come back.. Well I guess the could not answer her questions cause they never came back...lol, she was just inactive at the time, 47 years of membership and one visit...myself personally, I am very glad for that one visit, it helped her see what jackasses most jw's are...and made up her mind to stay away

The Mother of all conspiracy theories
by Junction-Guy inok first of all whenever i get a strong feeling about something im usually right.
even though for years as a child i was taught the jw doctrine and it seemed to make sense biblically, at least back then.
but yet i had a strong sense of doubt, but it was nothing specific i could point the finger to, just a gut feeling that there was something wrong with the jw religion.. now here's my main point.
