I'm trying to get my wife thinking too. I might show her the UN webpage and ask her what she thinks. I did show her the AP article about the new blood directives.

Hey Dan,
I chose to fade. It would be too hard on my wife if I DAed myself. The only family left is my mother in law and that would strain the relationship.
The Elders have not tried to get me to come back. They know I study and have been researching online as well as purchasing many older pubs on Ebay. They are aware of the private correspondence I had with the WTS, and they were never "cc"ed as is typically done.
As long as I don't try to get anybody else out they seem to leave me alone.
While I don't get any phone calls from JWs for socialization I am welcome at gatherings with my wife. Only the superwitnesses give me a cold shoulder. They did when I was a JW too. And I gave it right back with a smile.
I have one nagging question. Do I continue to live like this and respect my wifes decision to choose her own religion like a Catholic might accept his wifes Jewish faith.
or Do I push the issue, DA myself, tell my wife everything I know and see what happens.
She is smart and knows there is information out there. I guess I have to be patient and hope she will look outside the box someday.

You probably explained this in a previous post but if you are not nor never have been one of Jehovah's Witnesses why are you going to the memorial?
This might be my first year not going.

To Do or Not To Do-Living Donor Hepatectomy in Jehovah's Witnesses!
by Atlantis into do or not to do--living donor hepatectomy in jehovah's witnesses: http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1600-6143.2005.00810.x .
living donor liver transplantation has come to be an acceptable alternative to deceased donor transplants.
several ethical issues related to living donation have been raised in the face of reported perioperative morbidity and mortality.

I am for organ transplants.
I find it odd thought that JWs refuse an organ transplant of blood from a living person but accept an organ transplant, such as a liver, from someone who has died.
If the Hebrew Bible is to be used for guidance today as JWs state then how about the laws on touching dead things. Would putting organs from dead things in your body be congruent?

It is laughable how the WTS claims to be the channel of God but regularly references others for support or the source of their doctrines.

was tobacco use common before deuteronomy?
by apostlestate in.
if it can be proven that tobacco use was a practice before all the o-so-explicit cleanliness laws in deuteronomy then god's silence on the matter could be deemed as proof that he did not mind such things.. anyone know if tobacco use has caveman roots?

Not likely the Jews were lighting up with tobacco.

Sometimes I think Jesus used the Hebrew Bible as a script for what he needed to due to get some Jews to follow him. It wouldn't be hard for a person to say " Hey, I was born in the right town, I'm from the right area, if I just do all this other stuff they will really fall for me". Then he and Mary would sit around, drink some wine with the others, and privately and say," Wow, Its really working."
Many of the miracles could be easily pulled off by an illusionist with some accomplices in the crowd.

WTS in politics and upsetting the Armenians
by Woodsman inhttp://www.anca.org/action_alerts/actionalerts.php?aaid=16
when you take a political stance not everyone agrees.
the wts took a political stance by helping to organize the holocost remembrance day and excluding some from that event.. so much for being neutral and not allowing politics to interfere with the wts's proselytizing.

Do you think these upset Armenians would welcome a Bible study?
