by amommy ini have been a jw all my life, my sister and i are now in our late twenties and are so unhappy and after desparate attempts to keep up meeting attendance are not spiritually motivated.
we in last few weeks have found some very disturbing things in our search such as the un involvement.

If you believe in Christ and the Bible some form of Christianity would be the logical choice. The Bible doesn't speak of an organization but it does speak of the New Covenant. In Jewish times God's people were members of the Old Covenant. Jeremiah as you know says God would do away with that covenant and that HIS PEOPLE would be in a New Covenant with him. It is not any organization that the Bible speaks of but this Covenant. You simply must accept Christ's invitation to be members of the New Covenant in order to be a Christian. The Bible does not teach about any other type of Christian. Since 99.7% of JWs have not accepted Christ's invitation it does not sound to me like they are Christians in the Biblical sense.
Ask your husband who was God's organization in the first century before 33 ce. He will probably say the Jews. Ask which ones. There were as many Jewish denominations (sects) in the first century as there are Christian denominations today. Christ made no destinction even though their beliefs were quite at odds with one another. If he didn't chose between denominations then why would he now?
Men tell you not to question, Christ said don't be misled. Keep looking.

Would an Book on Rutherford really be worthwhile?
by VM44 ini have to make a decision now as to continue researching judge rutherford with a view of writing a book, or just let him go (after all, he died 63 years ago!
what do people here think?.
would a book about rutherford be a worthwhile project?

If you made a movie I would cast Homer Simpson as Rutherford for my first choice. But he probably doesn't drink as much as Rutherford and is a little smarter.

As a JW did you accept birthday/Christmas gifts? What is WTS policy?
by blondie inis it proper to accept gifts and not give them?
*** w59 12/1 p. 736 questions from readers ***.
my husband and i are newly dedicated witnesses.

Oh, to answer the question, NO it is not proper to accept gifts and nit give them. We should be givers in imatation of God.
An example would be the JWs accepting the gift of blood products but not giving blood. Selfish, selfish, selfish.

This type of reasoning is typical. In a JW circle they would all nod and see that it can be rationalized but to outsiders it is ridiculous, or so I think. If Christmas were so Pagan and therefore Satanic that one could not in good conscience celebrate it then one should not celebrate it and that would include accepting Christmas gifts.
