I went to the meeting last tuesday, and I noticed that many of the brothers and sisters were really tired. The meeting was boring and monotonus.
I think that many of the friends goes to the meetings just as a mechanical process. It looks as if they have already left their minds somewhere else.

What I Observed Last Night At The Kingdom Hall
by stevieb1 ini am still one of jehovah's witnesses and i still attend meetings at the kingdom hall though i am quite disgruntled over many of the society's teachings and the practices that go on in the congregation.
i have read everything about jw's both pro and con, (i have one of the largest collections of material related to jw's in europe) and i have contributed scholarly articles to the society on many occasions.
i could talk about many things but i'll just talk about what i observed last night.

I forgat to tell you that elders usally asked you if You believed that this is Jehovah's Organization?
Please to avoid confrontation respond Yes!
They are instructed to ask that question.
It is very ironic that step of asking if you believed in Jehovah and Jesus they ask you about the org. (What a dogmatic question) -

Depression, Depresion and more Depresion.
They really feel pity for people with that kind of problems.
Don't even give them a clue about the real reason. The are good sniffers. Always thanks them for the counsel and tell them that you are going to try to go to the metings.

I am glad to know that my experience is helping you in one or other way. I think that at this point I have already lost all my friends.
It is hard to see how people just draw away from you thinking that they are been loyal to Jehovah.
If you decided to step down please give the elder a good excuse, like personal reasons or something else. Just never tell them about your doubts as I did. That could it bring you a lot of troubles.

To be honest with you, I think that these kind of music is very negative, and It does has to do something witn demons.
Usually that kind of Music leads to Drugs and very negative thinking.
I had a friend who loved heavy metal until he had a really bad experience with the demons. He was so scared that he trew away all his records.
So please be careful because there are dangerous things in this life and we can't denied.

To be honest I felt really good about it. I literally was tired of been pretending. I remember my last meeting with the circuit overseer, the elders and the servants. The C.O asked us why none of the servants or elders were in the construction commite, and encouraged us to participated due to little response from the local brothers. He "encouraged" us to do it. It really sounds more like a threat to me than anything. So it was on that day when I really decided to step down as a servant.
Today I still a witness, but i am almost inactive.
Any similar experience? -

why would you like to die and be like manure in the soil.. don't you know that the organization is the only channel of comunication with god.. don't you know that the faithful and discreet slave is inspired by angels.
yes you are out of the organization because the angels have seen how weaked your hearts has become.. glory to the watch tower.

Are we bitter people or just victims?
by cocolocoii ini am a jehovah's witness until today, but i don't know if i'll continue to be one of them tomorrow.. i said that because for once my eyes are open to reallity and i can clearly see that there is not organization beyond our creators name.. i see a lot or imperfect man trying to do what is right, but allways those desires are corrupted by their pride or greediness.. i think that in the watch tower organization are really a lot of people who really wants to served god.
but i think too that there are a lot a people who doesn't have love and mercy for their brothers.
a well known saying says that you will catch more fly with honey than with vinager.. this doesn't mean that people are allowed to do whatever they want without any respect for god's word in the bible.

This doesn't mean that people are allowed to do whatever they want without any respect for God's word in the Bible. But to what extent does man has to punish his fellows to prove themselves righteous.
I am bitter because in one hand I know that there are a lot of good in what we consider bad(organization), but in the other hand I know that there are a lot bad that organization has cuased to people.
In one way they have assumed God's role in judging people. I think that they too have a little of the pharises theachings. They forgat that love and compasion means more than an standart of rules and regulations.
I am a victim of my own desires of my own imperfections and mistakes, I am a victim of me because in one hand I want to do what is right but I do some time the opposite. I love to read about Jesus life, how he showed compasion for sinners without reproching them. I think that people respond with more efectiviness with love and not with punishment evendough punishment it is necesary for Wicked, is Jehovah who will judge them. So I understand all the negative feeligs toward society. I think that in my case it is like a crying all loud for undertanding and affection.
Bitterness will bring you more bitterness, but love will cover a lot of badness.Are we bitter or Victims? What do think and how do you feel about it?

I just call the cow palace in San Francisco and they told me that regularly they charge $ 10,000 per day. They didn't want to tell me how much exactly society pays for it. But imagine if they get a big discount.
Problably the cow palace doesn't charge them for parking.
Just imagine 5,000 cars at $ 4.00 equals $20,000 per day or 60,000 per weekend. So if they would it pay what cow palace regularly charge they still would it make $30,000 in profit for each assembly.
I personally doubt that society pays as regular people does, remember that we clean the cow palace every day. So calculate $30,000 per assembly times 8 assemblies equals $240,000. Plus donation that the regular witnesses put in the "donation boxes".
