  some here have original copies going back to russell's time.

  would it make sense to have a resource library available where we pool what we have?

  i have quiet a lot...it's sitting in boxes in my daughter's garage in florida at the moment, but i can get it at some point.

We could compile a list of what we have so that anyone looking for specific articles would have a contact. I think we have access to more than we realize.

  i'm considering buying a car this year.

  i'm getting a really good offer for a 1994 ford mustang cobra for about $7500 (its been modified :-d ).

  and a black viper that a guy has been trying to sell me for weeks.

  My dad bought me a used 2 door chevy nova convertible to commute to college. (he was an elder) The CO tried to get him on 2 issues.. my going to college and my 2 door convertible. The college issue was priceless...my dad made him look like an idiot. On the car issue my dad explained that he got a great deal on it that he couldn't pass up. Someone in his office sold it to him just when I needed it. Being an art major I had decorated the top with painted flowers...very realistic flowers. My father challenged the CO to show him how flowers would bring dishonor to Jehovah. It was 1969. The whole thing was hilarious. Dad won.

  hey guys, i found the following to be quite interesting, they have some great links to jw literature, maybe this will help the lurkers to see that the house to house preaching waste of time, is pretty redundant as many religious people are now wise to the fallacy of the borg.

  I don't agree with you...just recognize that you have every right to your opinion. .. as do I. I don't have an agenda...but I don't see the world through your eyes. I've had very different experiences than you have...

  Jesus was letting then know that because of following Him, their families might reject them. He never suggested that they reject their families.

  Fanatics can be found in any belief system...(not just Christian & Muslim) and that is where the danger lies. Some groups are able to exploit this with horrible results. It seems to be happening within the Muslim community on a larger scale than anywhere else in the world. I don't deny that there have been some Christians who have done some terrible things in the name of religion. The difference I see is that Fundamentalist Muslims are taught to hate. They don't seem to have much respect for the value of human life. Christians are taught the love of Christ. (some don't get it., i know..but I think most do)

  I won't attempt to convince you that there is a difference. You have made up your mind, and you are entitled to your opinion.

  yeah, Robdar...Pat Robertson does say some pretty dumb things....but I don't think you need to worry that he will be organizing any suicide bombers or beheadings any time soon.

  a lot of people are worrying about these uprisings, riots and violence being done----it seems everywhere.

  i've read how some feel that europe does not have the ability as a union to fight against this.

  is this like it was in germany prior to ww!!

  If the Islamic Fundamentalists had nuclear weapons they would not hesitate for a second to use them. We have no choice but to prevent that from happening. If we wait too long, we're toast. They HATE anyone who does not believe as they do, and believe they are given a mandate by allah to kill us all. They have no respect for human life or the rights and beliefs of others. They are in a cult far worse than the watchtower. You cannot reason them out of their belief system. They are beyond that. I wonder why the main stream Moslems do not speak out (in any meaningful way) against the behavior of thier more radical fellow believers. I am a news junkie...I listen/watch news constantly and have heard virtually nothing from the Muslim community that condemns the horrific things they have done. The hateful teachings that spark the violence need to be exposed. These poor deluded people are programmed to hate from an early age. They are being exploited by an evil cult as pawns in a plan to dominate the world. They will use any means at their disposal to do this.

  I respect the beliefs of others...but I draw the line when that belief involves killing people who don't believe as they do.
