  a producer with nbc in new york called within the past hour to tell me that the segment i interviewed for (once in nashville, tn in august and once in washington, dc in october) is set to air tonight on nbc nightly news with brian williams, that is, if no huge calamity takes place to bump the feature.

  this piece will be two minutes and 45 seconds long, the longest slot nightly news has for topics of interest, and will feature a discussion about the court documents that are found on the cd i recently produced, "secrets of pedophilia in an american religion, jehovah's witnesses in crisis.

  in addition, nbc's internet site, msn, will follow with a detailed story.

  ..Your Best Bargain!..

  i`ve got a nice gym up here at the ranch..rows of dumbells.a few barbells.lots of free wieghts..and..a few machines.....my hand is healed up from being crushed in the ranch gate and i wanted to get back to working out.....i needed a new bench press.something a little more up to date..so..i headed for civilization......canadian tire had a nice one for $149.95..walmart had one better for $89.95..$89.00 for a bench of that quality??

  !..........so..i went and got a shopping cart,so i could put the boxed up bench press,in it..i went to pick up the box..i could barely lift it!..it was like it was bolted to the floor.....was i so out of shape from not working out,i couldn`t lift the bench i wanted to exercise on???..lol!

  !.....i managed to get the box waist high and almost into the cart..but not quite..the box is resting on the edge of the shopping cart and moving away from me..now i`m chasing a shopping cart down the isle trying to get the frigg`n box into it.i looked like an idiot!..lol!

  a full length black leather coat for $5.00 at a garage sale. It had the original tags on it...never been worn. I have had it for 5 years and wear it all fall and winter... can't seem to wear it out.

  That same year I got a 100% cashmere full lengh coat (not at a garage sale) for $75.00...marked down from $800. I hardly ever wear it because I have this $5.00 leather coat that takes a beating....

  I passed my Leed Exam!

  just bragging.... after months of rigorous studying i took the leed accredited professional exam this morning and passed!

  i'm so happy!

  for those of you who don't know what leed is it's leadership in energy and enviromental design (green building).

  That's great! I'm considering taking the test too. I teach AIA Continuing ed seminars for Architects, and there is one on LEED and windows. My company is a member of the USGBC....

  My aunt

  my 85 year old aunt, who has worked every day up until 2 weeks ago is very ill. she has been losing weight for about 6 months, (without trying) but for the past month it has really accelerated.

  my cousin finally got her to go to the doctor , and there will be lots of tests to find the cause.

  she had lung cancer 12 years ago and has had a clean bill of health ever since... until now.

  An update:

  They are sending her home today. She has refused any more tests.. they wanted to send her to Boston for more testing and she said no. She's had enough. They believe she has lymphoma, but they are not 100% sure. She just wants to be at home.

  We're not sure how this will work. She can't be alone because she in unstable on her feet and falls easily....but they couldn't keep her in her bed even in the hospital. We all work, and there will be times during the day when she will be alone...which can't happen. To top it all off, I'm violently allergic to one of her cats. (my eyes turn blood red and swell nearly shut when I'm in her house for more than 10 minutes.) So we have to explore solutions for this....

  I've been at a huge trade show this week in Boston for most of this week...really long days.... been talking so much I've almost lost my voice.

  Seriously John, are you having problems with women today and decided to take it out on the ladies here? Not a good idea...you're throwing yourself under the bus. Puting women down to make yourself feel better doesn't work in the long run. You can ask my x husband. That was his specialty... and he's still alone since our divorce in 1990....and he's an elder.

  Women should be.... all that they can be as an individual. They should develop all of their talents and abilities be independent, and successful in whatever their persuits. They should never give up who they are to please any man.

  John Doe... if you are being serious, I pity you. Can't imagine any woman taking you seriously....or wanting to spend 1 minute with you
