i was a junior borgite in 1975. i remeber looking at the calendar at work in october and thinking: 'armageddon isn't here yet.....and it doesn't feel like it will be here anytime soon either!'.
i was surprised that jehovah hadn't obeyed the superior command to bring the big 'a' as instructed to him by fred franz.
how dare god disobey the jw leader!!!!!.

It has been a few months since the whole nightmare began.
Today her cardiologist released her to return to work. She starts in 2 weeks. He said he has never seen anyone improve so quickly. Her ejection fraction was 10 after the pacemaker was installed. It is 25 now. (normal is 55-60). He said when he saw her in the hospital he didn't think she would ever be able to return to work. He is amazed at her progress.
She is thrilled! I am soooooo relieved and gratefull!!!!!!

Villabolo: It still seems like you're dodging that very simple question
Villabolo, you can think whatever you like of me. Doesn't bother me a bit. My daughter and mother of 3 has been diagnosed with a severe case of congestive heart failure, and it is possible if things do not improve significantly, that she will need a heart transplant. It is hard to focus on much these days...which is why I have insomnia. So give me a break, will ya...and take me at my word. Everyone who really knows me does.

Coffee, I apologize for being unaware of your last post on another thread. I've been jumping around. I do find the contradiction in your complaint humorous though. Since it is obvious that I did not read your last post where is the pettiness in my bringing it up again in sincere ignorance. Only if I was aware of your last post would it actually be petty.
It was on this thread. I am not usually up very late... insomnia lately, due to some serious stuff going on in my life right now. So mistakes will probably be common in my late night posts. I had meant to say Otherwise it would be petty. my bad.
Yes, Villabolo I have read pro global warming material...lots of it... Nothing I say is going to convince you of that though... that's ok. I'm not looking for your approval. As I said in my first post on this thread, I'm not going to debate the issue because there's some serious stuff going on in my life and I don't have the energy... i posted the links regarding Lindzen simply because I thought some might find it interesting. That is all I had intended to add to the thread... and then I got sucked in.
You probably won't convince me either that you have actually read Lindzen . In my post that you missed, I suggested that you read his testimony he gave before the House Subcommittee on Science and Technologhy linked below. His email address is on the first page. Why not tell him what you think?
Bohm,
As you said... you have only read part of the CIA report. I have read the whole thing. If you haven't read it...how do you know it's not as strong as I think?
You don't need to answer... just sayin...
Again... I am not going to debate this issue...never intended to, as I said in my first post on this thread. Somehow I got sucked in, when I only intended to post links that I thought some would find interesting.
Coffee who has a busy day planned...and it starts now.
today was my grandmother's funeral.
she had a hard life (which i will not divulge here) and the circumstances of her death weren't much better.
she was not a jw but because she was my mother's mother she got a jw eulogy (yeah the jw infomercial).
I'm sooooo sorry for your loss. Losing a grandma is tough...

Wow, Villabolo... It's obvious that you didn't read my last post to you...where I acknowledged my misspelling of Lindzen. don't you think it's a little petty to bring it up again?
So he's not a real scientist? I think MIT would disagree with you. I've read the accusations about him, and I have heard his response. Have you? Or are you just believing what you have heard about him? Who do you think funds the scientists you believe?
My "source" linked in response to Bohm actually did survey scientists at all the climatology centers in the US that existed in 1974. I don't think you read it, or you would know that.
And yes, I do read other sources and will continue to do so.
And I will leave it there. I have no desire to let this get nasty.

Bohm... why not read the whole thing yourself? Why trust USA today or Wikipedia to tell you what it says or what conclusions to form? I prefer to read it myself and form my own conclusions... I'm funny that way. Having read the whole thing... I don't believe I am blowing it out of proportion.
I would say that the majority is not always right.
As I said before.. I'm not denying the that the earth is in a warming cycle. I do not believe that man is the cause of it...any more than man caused the previous warming cycles.

Bohm... have you read the document I linked? It is from 1974 The CIA consulted scientists from every climatology center in the US. These scientists were in agreement that severe cooling was already taking place. It was not just a few rogue scientists. I can't copy and past it here because it is a copy of micro-fiche. the CIA was very concerned with the severe cooling reported by these scientists, because they thought it had national security implications...
Yes, science has matured since then.. but there is still a long way to go.

Soaked dutch? Well I'm a Bostonian burried in snow... and about to get more tomorrow. I think I'd rather be soaked than have to shovel all this snow and ice. There is no place left to put it.
