  i was officially diagnosed today.

  started out a little over a week ago with pain in my back, and a week ago the rash appeared.

  according to the dr, it seems i have been through the worst, and should clear in a week or so.

  but sun exposure can get the area riled up, even after most of the effects are gone. Sunscreen baby!

  I have a company meeting tomorrow...and afterwards there's a company picnic.... in a very sunny area. I'm not planning to go to the picnic...don't want to push my luck.

  Thanks Curious.... my granddaughter (the one that was in the horrific accident 2 years ago) is visiting with me for a month. I want to make the most of my time with her... and have had to take it as easy as possible this past week. Hopefully, I'll be over this in time to do some fun stuff with her. We went to Plymouth Plantation last week one day after work... and she has some friends here that she has been able to hang out with, swim with, and go to the movies with. There's so much for her to see here.... hopefully, I'll be feeling well enough to do more with her before she has to leave.

  Here she is with her fake nerd glasses.... hard to believe she broke/shattered every bone in her face 2 years ago by crashing face first into a tree after losing control of the bike she was riding.

  Car Full of JW's while I'm at the Car Wash............

  i'm sort of angry right now.. no, not angry..... i'm shaky.

  at least, when i lift my cup of coffee to my lips, sitting here at starbucks, my hand is trembly.. i hate that!.

  the power they have to still reach me on some hidden point that hides in the corners of my very being.... .

  I've had that same shaky feeling.... It's disconcerting when you know you've dealt with all the facts... but something just seems to take over. I had 2 experiences that come to mind.... one when they came to my door, and I didn't hear the doorbell... and my son told me they had been there... and I found them in the neighborhood and told them they were in a cult.

  Another time, an article came out that talked about the " glorious ones" in Hebrews.... and the wt applied it to elders... Two female jws came to my door presenting this magazine.... I asked if I could show them something in the magazine. They looked horrified, but said yes. I asked them who they give glory to. They said Jehovah.... and I said "then why does this article say to give glory to your elders?" and turned to the article, and asked the younger one to read it. The older one said it's really not that way it is... I said...Oh yes it is.... I was in your organization for 38 years...and its exactly the way it is." I looked at the younger one and told her she needed to look into that." She said she would....and they left. I was so shaky after they left that I nearly threw up. The shaking lasted over an hour.

  This happened years ago...mid to late 90s...but I have never forgotten that feeling. They don't come to my door any more.

  Yeah, I am very lucky. My x husband had it years ago, and had horrible pain.

  As usual, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, but the dr. said that I am doing very well, all things considered.

  I think that stress brought it on... I had a lovely vacation in the Outer Banks with both my kids and all my grandkids. I couldn't relax though... was constantly worried that something would happen to one of the little ones.... so I was on red alert the whole time.... constantly thinking of all the things that could go wrong....with a pool and hot tubs and balconies everywhere...and of course, everyone went off in every direction, and I couldn't keep track....then the ocean with a really strong undertoe...and the oldest grandson swimming way out... Then the 4200 miles of driving....

  Not sure why... but I always have a hard time truly relaxing....

  I haven't taken time off from work... the pain has been manageable....and she assured me that I am on the homestreach. Mine is on my torso...but you can get it on the face...it's more serious then, because it can cause loss of sight. Nasty stuff....
