  his 1100 mile walk is over.

  he will be in dc for 3 days, visiting homeless shelters and drawing attention to the plight of homeless children in the united states.

  Well, that was 3 years ago. David still volunteers at the homeless shelter. Still keeps in contact with some of the shelters he visited. David is now a senior in High School, and planning College. His Senior pics below. His plans have changed since he did his walk. He no longer wants to go into politics. Says there 's too much corruption...and that it seems to ruin good people. He plans to be a doctor...

  and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

  but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

  how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  According to my aunt and uncle (who was a DO many years ago...late 50s early 60s on the west coast) Andy Williams was once a JW. They knew him well, apparently.

  September 11, 2001- Where were you?

  i work at a major airline in the in-flight training department.

  i was sitting at the desk on the computer, i kid you not... writing the security (hijacking) curriculum for 2002, when someone came in and told me a plane flew into the wtc.

  we all thought it was one of our planes.

  I had just started a new job with the company I still work for. I was on my way to meet a fellow employee...we were going into Boston to do a seminar. He never met me. I waited in our Wellesley Showroom, and finally received word that he wouldn't be coming...and our seminar had been cancelled.

  I'm in the Wellesley Showroom now...where I am now the Manager.... seems like yesterday. That was the day I became a news junkie.
