Was it Nick Karamalis? He made dumb jokes. I remember one time he burped from the platform...and asked what color was that...and said burple!

He tried to make my dad step down from his position because I was in college. Dad refused and stood his ground. Karamalis dropped it.

so today one of the local elders came around to "check out how you are doing.".

i didn't really feel like putting up with the interrogation, or the false concern so i decided that i didn't "hear" the doorbell.

the guy decided he needed to circle my home and peek in the windows to see if i was home or not.

Catch 'em in the act. Take a picture of the person looking in the window. Then call the police and show them the picture. Let 'em try to explain that away.

to non muslims the sight of a woman shrouded in a shapeless tent with only a slit for a peephole is stunning!.

to a muslim, however, it is a gender-specific category of ethical behavior decorated with words such as honor, modesty and respect.. .

more importantly, perhaps, is a central idea or mindset which i shall now call the burqa mind.

On March 9, three elders from different congregations will take an exciting Biblical and historical look at the topic of the annual celebration of the Memorial. How did the Early Church celebrate the Memorial? How did the Early Watchtower Bible Students celebrate the Memorial under the teachings of Brother Charles Taze Russell? How do Jehovah’s Witnesses celebrate it today and is that different? This is intended as a friendly educational and historical review. After the discussion, participants will be welcome to share questions and comments.

Additionally, here are some questions that will be discussed:

1. What is the Memorial all about?

2. How is it related to Passover?

3. What did Jesus instruct his followers to do?

4. What is the meaning of the emblems (the bread and cup)?

5. Who should partake and why?
