  Actually 333 it is I who pity you. I pity you because you are a slave to an organization that cannot give you salvation nor can they take it away. They are simply men who have control of your heart and mind...and your time. In all their convoluted doctrine they miss the meaning of true Christianity, which is love. Your post is evidence of this...it clearly shows the heart condition of those who follow the watchtower instead of God. What do you think Jesus would think of your post? I think he would address you as he addressed the Pharisees.

  How many ex-JWs world wide alive right now?

  i seem to remember some statistics on this but i'd like to find out how many you all think there are.

  i remember hearing a statistic that i think came from the wt itself, stating that 70,000 jws are disfellowshipped every year.

  so if every witness that has been disfelloshipped for the last 50 years is still alive, and we say that the average jws dfd a year is more like 50,000, that's 50,000 x 50 which equals - 2,500,000 ex-jws.

  There's a great one in the Orlando area. PM me if you're near there, and I'll send you the info., I'm not in Florida anymore, but I went to that support group for years. Great people...helped me a lot when I was first leaving the borg...

  I've been predicting this would happen for some time now. The only real growth they are having is by children born into the organization. In the late 60s and early 70s having children was discouraged. I was pregnant in 1975...my daughter was born in March '76. I got some really nasty comments..

  But now they need more members...and this is the only sure fire way to get them.

  ive read barbaras intro to the pedophile records and thought it might be useful to have a record here on the forum of the most damning and verifiable facts regarding the pedophilia situation.

  sort of a summary.

  that way we can all have a source to go to and be able to quickly summarize whats criminal about the way the society has used its authority in this matter.

  even though this is repulsive to most right thinking individuals, it is his justice & his witnesses look forward to it and love him for it.. filth!

  When I was a JW, (third generation with anointed grandmother and DO for an uncle) I fully believed that JWs would be the only ones to survive armageddon. In my experience all JWs believed that way. I even remember talks that made the point that a person's reaction to the "good news" when approached by a JW would determine whether they would be on a course of life or death. They taught that the organization was the "Ark" and that one had to be on that ark to survive.

  I know in recent years the society has tried to soften that message to be more appealing to the public..but if you really believe that Jehovah is the judge, and that you don't have to be a JW to survive armageddon...then why join in the first place?.

  Not trying to offend your here...but facts are facts.

  Do You Know Any Hardcore Apostates?

  are there any very active apostates in your area?.

  i'm talking about the snarling, fire-breathing, district convention picketing, apostates that are an absolute nuisance to local congregations, and are very irritating thorns in the side of the watchtower society.. i don't know of any in my area but i've heard rumors of one group in particular that is well known and very active.

  if it's true i'd like to find out who they are.

  When I was a kid there was a guy in our congregation who was engaged to a bethelite. She jilted him and he made a huge stink to the point that he was disfellowshipped. I don't remember all the details... I was a kid... He went to Brooklyn and picked HQ for years...

  My mother was the one who brought him into the troof.
