  what is the earliest age you heard someone get Baptised?

  i was curious what is the youngest age any jw has been baptised.

  i thought it was hypocritical for jws to say wait for marriage because its such a big deal but "why wait to get baptised".

  i think my step sister was 11 years old.

  A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables when a voice in the dark said, 'Jesus knows you're here.'
  
  He nea rly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze. When he heard nothing more, he shook his head and continued.
  
  Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard 'Jesus is watching you.'
  
  Startled, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
  
  'Did you say that?' he hissed at the parrot.
  
  'Yes', the parrot confessed, then squawked, 'I'm just trying to warn you that he's watching you.'
  
  The burglar relaxed. 'Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?'
  
  'Moses,' replied the bird.
  
  'Moses?' the burglar laughed. 'What kind of people would name a bird Moses?'
  
  'The kind of people who would name a Rottweiler Jesus.'

  My Mother Passed

  thank you for all of your support durning the two difficult weeks my mother was on her death bed.

  last night at 10:30pm she breath her last with my sister and i by her side.

  this is a real end of an era for me as i have known little these past 8 years other than taking care of my parents.

  mine is 25 miles each way.

  it can take anywhere from a half hour to an hour and a half each way depending on traffic.

  there is no way way to get here by public transportation.. sigh~ .

  Hi Tiki! Where in New England are you? For a while there a few months back, I was constantly seeing flocks of wild turkeys...in open fields or crossing the road.... sometimes I see deer.... Nice way to start a day!

  Traffic really gets to me. I usually take the backroads... it's a couple of miles longer, but I can keep moving for the most part... and the New England scenery is so much nicer than what can be seen from the highway.

  Have You Prepared For The "Flu" And Do You Get A Flu Shot?

  i try to keep my hands clean regularly and stay away from areas and people that i know are sick.. i have never gotten a flu shot and i do know that many that do get one, get the flu anyway.. still, the flu is considered very very bad this year..

  I would think that everyone visiting a nursing home would wear a mask during flu season...just to be on the safe side. The flu isn't the only thing they can carry... even a cold can put vulnerable patients at risk. When my daughter was first diagnosed with severe congestive heart failure, everyone visiting her in the hospital had to wear a mask, scrubs and gloves.

  I think that common sense is not so common any more.

  Xanthippe Yes, I'm very proud of him. His walk was his own idea.... it wasn't a group thing. He needed support from his mom..(and some from me) which he got...but it was his own deal from start to finish. He learned an awful lot from that experience. He continues to be involved with local shelters. He raised a lot of money for the shelters he visited...and brought some ideas to Washington DC which were well received

  EP.... I'm not saying anything negative about the flu shot. For those who want it.... please get it.

  I don't need it. My immune system took care of the virus when I was exposed (on a daily basis). Since vaccine is only available for 46% of the population, I will leave the limited supply for those who need it.
