hi there, as was suggested to me, i'm starting this thread to say hi to everyone.. my awakening began recently, after the new light on the 'slave'.
i felt it didn't add up and went to check and found out ttatt.
for a while i tried to find evidence of whether the wt might still be god's organization, i needn't say i couldn't.. i had already resigned as a ministerial servant and a pioneer, had already had several issues with the elders and did not put up with their nonsense for a long.
Welcome!!!

mine: i was walking around a grocery store with one of those snapple iced tea boxes dangling from one hand, looking for the other thing i ran in to buy.
suddenly the flimsy cardboard side of the box came unglued, and bottles dumped out, smashing open on the floor.
a river of iced tea began to run down the aisle.
When my son was aout 2, I was pushing him in the grocery cart. He reached out and pulled a plastic bottle of maple syrup off the shelf and threw it on the floor. It shattered, leaving a sticky mess al over the floor. I went to get an attendant, and meanwhile a little old man walked down the isle and slid all over the place.
I never went back to that store.

Not sure when he will hear back. He's not doing early admissions... at least I don't think so.

The interview went VERY WELL! I spoke with him last night. The average interview with Harvard lasts 20 - 30 minutes. (my daughter researched that) His was over an hour. He feels very confident!
Now we wait.

Interview is at 2pm.
My daughter is the one who is nervous...and me of course... He's fine. Plans on going in there and just being himself. He really shines in one on one conversations. Here he is when he started his 1100 mile walk from Orlando to Washington DC to highlight the plight of homeless children in the US. And below...his senior pictures

He wants to be a doctor. At one point he was considering Law...and maybe politics... he wants to make the world a better place. He has since seen the corruption, and wants no part of it. I think you're right about the tuition, Mrfreeze. When we toured we were told that if you are accepted, they will not allow money to stand in the way.

Desirous of change. When we toured Harvard last summer, we were told by head of admissions that if the parents earn less than $60,000. per year that they have student aid that will cover your tuition...that if you are accepted, they will see to it that you be covered. My daughter is on disability.
