4 And in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ar´a·rat. 5 And the waters kept on progressively lessening until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared. (Genesis) 37 For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be. (Matthew) Notice how Noahs Salvation came to rest on the Tenth Month. It is believed that Jesus Christ, the Savior was born in October. We can only pray with hope that our Salvation will come this month in October, as Two Significant floodings have occured in the East and in the West with Tsunami, and the floods in New Orleans. Have a great evening....... EliJah

Did Noahs Ark drift about aimlessly in the Great Flood?
by EliJah inno where does it mention that noah traveled around the world in his big boat.
in fact, is says that the ark was floating "high above the earth".
also, what does matthew mean about "just like in the days of noah?

Um, not so fast. He was stating a truth above, but that doesn't change the fact that he said he came not to bring peace, but a sword. Since he brought a sword, he also died by the sword, having been killed as a political threat to the Roman empire. So, he did not mean something different in Matt. 10:34. His own life, and death, in fact provides backing for it. Just because his war was one of words and philosophy rather than one of brute strength means little. At least this is my take on it. YMMV.
Jesus Christ was not put to death at the hands of the Romans, as they were directed by the pharisees and religious leaders. The word that Christ brought caused many divisions and what you say is true, it eventually caused his death. However, Jesus cannot be called the "Prince of Peace" if he would preach that killing is ok. This is contrary to everything that the bible is scripted to teach. Jesus could not bring peace as a man, even though born of GOD. He was not to bring peace until now in the end times as a Mighty God, born of Jehovah God.

They don't go to war, which is what Jesus Christ taught.
Matt 10:34 NIV - "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."Christ by direct example told Peter to return his sword to its sheath. He who lives by the sword shall also die by it. So apparently Jesus meant something different in the scripture above. EliJah

If you notice through the bible many names are derived from each other hence; Jehoiakim, Jehosphat, etc. etc.
These names are not derived from each other. They are derived from similar Hebrew words (in this case, a theophoric element yhw "Yahweh").Ark is not a known name except for from what we read in the bible. Ark has the same first two letters as Ararat. I wonder what the K means.
I'm not sure you are actually being serious, but FYI the English word "ark" has nothing in common with the mountain name "Ararat" except a slight orthographic similarity in English. The word derives from Latin arcus "chest" and that's it. The mountain itself derives its name from the Urartu kingdom which existed in the Lake Van region in the first millennium BC (it is used in this sense in 2 Kings 19:37, Isaiah 37:38, Jeremiah 51:27). The reference to Ararat in Genesis 8:4 is also not to a mountain called Ararat but to mountains that are located in (the land of) Ararat.
There are many names that are similiar even translated to the English language. How did YHWH translate to Jehovah? Does Jesus have the same similar Hebrew Script as Jehovah? I think perhaps Yeshua and Yehovah might be more accurate. What do you think?
Did Latin come before the Hebrew language? How therefore can you derive the meaning from Latin? Ark of the covenant means what? Just curious.

The 1914 Doctrine and The Threat of the Egibi Business Tablets
by VM44 incould the watchtower and the jehovah's witnesses survive the discarding of their 1914 doctrine?
the doctrine that in 1914 the end of the gentile times took place, jesus took up rule in heaven.
for some reason the jws think the outbreak of world war i in 1914 is proof their prophetic calculations were correct.

Many events did take place around that time that can be referenced in the bible. The bible has lesser and greater fulfillments of prophecy. Anyone could have mistaken this time period as the birth of the Kingdom. However I do not think it would take Jesus Christ this long to take over the world in subjective authority.
Jesus Christ came to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel in order to gather his apostles which he chose. The apostles are described in the book of Revelations:
12 It had a great and lofty wall and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names were inscribed which are those of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 On the east were three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. 14 The wall of the city also had twelve foundation stones, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Many of the prophetic words were given to the offspring of Abraham as the faithful in the beginning. The gentiles were then cleansed by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. THe events in the Middle East fulfill prophecy also, so I believe this period of time to be the one the W.T.S. believes took place in 1914.
