i recently read a post where someone said that they were df'd for committing "adultery in the heart", someone else for gambling, someone else for smoking etc etc.
it's all very puzzling, back in the 60's the wtbts had a down on "petting and necking" but it wasn't df'able.

File lawsuit or not?
by TR inwhen i moved my family after leaving the jehoagies schmitnesses, i changed my phone number, and made sure it was unlisted.
little did i know that i would soon be receiving a call out of the blue from a jw.. now, this was a woman that i had worked with at one time and we were pretty good friends, so a few years later, when she called, i was kind of glad to hear from her.
the problem was, how did she get my phone number.

My suggestion: get a new unlisted number and write this episode off as one of those things you accept because you can't change it.

I have heard from Step by email, a long letter discussing things that would give away his identity to the wrong people if they read those things on here. He says that he will write again to continue his response to my initial post above. When he's finished, if he doesn't post anything here then I'll ask if he minds if I do, culling the obviously personal details.
I haven't yet formed an opinion of what he says. It's thought-provoking stuff; I'm waiting until I have more.

On H2O one time the lovable forum clown, You Know, went into a rant about not looking at a member of the opposite sex with "impure thoughts." So I posted a response in which I said, picture You Know meeting and courting some young lovely. Matters progress to marriage, and now they are together on their wedding night. As they prepare for bed, the bride wearing panties and a sheer nightgown as is her habit, she happens to bend over, scalding the virtuous You Know's virgin eyes with some serious butt. Our hero now responds impetuously, "Wow! Say, honey, I just now had a heck of a good idea!"

Something is wrong here. There was no district assembly in 1978. There was an international convention. I attended it at the Astrodome in Houston. It was the first year we had canned music instead of a live orchestra, and I was devastated because I had gotten to play with the orchestra for the first (and only) time at the 1977 district assembly.

he is welcome to try to keep up, but my personal bet is that about 2/3 of the way through he will scream in terror and jump out the window.. this letter was actually sent toward the end of june, 1996. yes, it took about 6 months to write it, as i was working 70 to 80 hours a week as a long haul truck driver.
it was written primarily to my daughters (and our former) congregation in alaska, with copies going to the parties named at the end of the letter.. all the names have been changed or blanked out except for p. g. ronco, the branch overseer, whom i know personally.
