  i just happened on this place a few days ago, and thought i would stop in to see what it was all about.

  it claims to be a jehovah's witness forum, which it is not.. dont want to come here and point fingers, as i am sure there are some good people in here, just seems the bad have followed the good.

  i guess in reality thats always the case, but hey, what else would these people do if they couldn't wage their little war on the truth.

  I'd be interested to know which ones among us you have identified. Would you please put specific names with each of these group statements?

  1. Most of you were raised Witness and left for different reasons. Assuming that circumstances, or people involved either didn't meet to the expectations that you had ingrained.

  Board users fitting this statement:

  3. Some have lifestyles that were more openly accepted in other religious organizations, so it was beneficial to the conscience to move away from the strict guidelines of the Society.

  You have actually ascertained that this is what really happened, right? You're not just tossing this out here as something your conditioning whipped out to explain away our words?

  victoria's secret posted yesterday that the convention in houston got flooded out.

  i have friends and relatives there that i have been unable to contact.

  can someone tell me the situation there?

  You all know that it is psychologically impossible for Bobby to say anything that is in the slightest way indicative of appreciation or a positive view of anyone here. He can't speak normally; he has Tourette Syndrome. Whenever he tries to say, "I really appreciate your thoughts on the matter, and agree wholeheartedly," what comes out is, "No doubt Jehovah will be laughing with glee as he melts the flesh off your face."

  The You Know version of "I love you guys" comes out as, "Your apostate slime will ooze over the internet for yet a very short time before you are cleansed away."

  "I appreciate all you guys have done for me" transforms on the way from brain to mouth into, "Oh, how I have hated them with a pure and holy hatred."

  Therefore he cannot respond, in this thread, to say his thanks to us for answering his post. So I'll just do it for him.

  "My heartfelt thanks to all of you for the information and your encouragement and well-wishing. You're a fine bunch. I love you all. /You Know"

  Frankly, I don't consider cybersex to be sex. When invited to engage in it, my reply is, "I appreciate the offer, but I guess not. I prefer physical contact with my sex."

  That doesn't change the fact, though, that DreamMaster and his wife have some serious communication issues to work through, and that they need the help of a counselor to do it.

  I am sure most of you felt the same way before turning, but the love of the greater number was prophesied to start to cool as the end drew near.

  This simply serves as a convenient set of blinders to put on, an excuse to dismiss valid points, so that you don't have to feel uncomfortable and ill at ease while avoiding the facts.

  Most of the comments used to point out the improbity of the Society, I've already heard and researched.

  My son, an active and zealous witness, says the same thing. When he says it, what he means is, he has read the Watchtower Society's explanation of it, and he has read the Watchtower Society's version of what the other side says.

  I suppose, in his mind, that qualifies as "research." It is, of course, the very thing he would warn his bible students not to do regarding their own religion.

  I hope someday you reach a point where you can interact with people without feeling the need to wear that phony mask in front of you. Your posturing and acting out are so childish. It's almost as sad as it is annoying. I'm sure you would be a good friend and a great conversationalist, if you could ever think of yourself as being acceptable and equal to others all on your own, without the need of that line of shit you use like a shield.

  apostates talk so much, but only the rotten listen.

  You have the Watchtower party line well ingrained in you, I see. The bible, of course, espouses a quite different attitude; but the governing body has never balked at shoving the bible aside when it clashes with their teachings: "When anyone is replying to a matter before he hears it, that is foolishness on his part and a humiliation."
  Ecclesiastes 18:13

  You seem to think that just listening to apostates is enough to cause shipwreck in your faith. However, any true man of God is easily able to expose and reject apostate lies without being taken in, even as Paul shows us in Hebrews 5:13. Note:

  "But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong."

  And how, exactly, have your perceptive powers been trained, redline? Not through use, obviously, if all you do is tuck tail and run when you encounter something counter to what you've been told to believe. In order to use your perceptive powers, you have to actually be in situations where they're exercised.

  Of course, the truth is that the society doesn't want you to use them. They want you to accept whatever they say and steer a wide path around anyone who says anything differently. Why, redline? Why?

  Ask yourself that question sometime.
