Have you experienced Satan?

recently i asked:have you experienced god?and many of you responded.the question was not intended to prove that god exists,or,doesn't.rather, what each persons own experience meant for them.. now,i thought that it would be only fair to ask:have you experienced satan?again not to prove that satan exists or dosen't.rather what each persons own experience meant for them.. maybe some have experienced both,god and satan at different times,or can you tell the difference?.

Smoker or Non Smoker?

do you smoke?.

would you live with a smoker, if you are non smoker?

i wouldn't be able to smell cigarette smoke at home nor in my car.

Smoked from age 15 to 22, when I became a JW. Smoke-free for 12 years as a JW. Left JWs, started up again, smoked for another 10 years. Quit again 5 years ago. Never will start again.

I would not date someone who smokes. The stench is too much for me: in hair, in clothes, on skin... yuck.

Never mind telling me what to read. I hate people telling me who the hot women are. They're invariably way off.

I live with myself. I like it this way.

I know the joys of having loved ones around you, and they are true joys indeed. But I have raised my children, and they are on their own now, and I find that I am often at my very happiest when I'm alone. I have friends over to visit, and girlfriends who spend the night or part of the weekend, and with whom I make plans, and cook together, and plan and work projects together. But after being in the company of people for a while I always start wanting to be alone. Company is essential, but eventually it has an effect that I call "draining my spiritual energy", and I have to be alone for a while to recharge.

I haven't given up the idea that someday I could find a woman with whom I would want to live, permanently. But then, I haven't given up the idea that God may yet make everything clear, either. It's just that I'm not sitting around waiting for either one to happen. There's a life to be lived, and I'm living it.

Congratulations on joining the dating crowd, Robyn! Here's my thought:

He wanted to look good in his buddy's eyes, that's all.

Probably so. The problem with this is, he lied in order to do it. And the nature of the lie was such that you, Robyn, were put in the position of either speaking up to refute it, or joining in it by keeping silent. Granted, it's not a big deal of itself, but it shows a lack of both respect for the truth and consideration for Robyn's comfort.

And if he drank enough to make you worry, then hon, worry. Because believe me, on a first date, he was holding back.
