  What if you could have your JW membership annulled?

  i was thinking what a stampede there would be to do that-what if they made a special announcement at the kh next month, that anyone who felt they had made a mistake in getting baptised could request an annullment.

  their name would be removed from the wt records and they would be treated like someone who had never been a baptised witness.. this offer is good for one month only, hurry in to your local kh while this offer is still available.- remember the deadline for this special program is october 31st!.

  i think maybe, i've been watching too many end of the year 2006 model new car clearance commercials!.

  i am marion, a friend of fullofdoubtnow (linda), and i have just disassociated from jehovahs witnesses.

  i was only announced a couple of days ago, after a lifetime of association.

  linda has posted about me before, but it's wonderful to be able to post in my own right, and i am really looking forward to getting to know you all.. i am 59 years of age, 60 in november, and have been a jw all my life, baptised since 1961, and i thought i would always be a witness, but i now know absolutely that it isn't the truth.

  Congratulations on your newly found status and welcome to the site. I'm sorry to hear about the shunning, as we all hate to hear about this. I was fortunate none of my children stayed in and share my view of the WBTS. You will find many, many new friends that will accept you unconditionally.

  Binoculars at the District Assemblys

  anyone remember spending most of their time staring out of binoculars for good looking people out of the binoculars for prospects and then spending your free time in that section hunting these people down?.

  this past time as i remember was the most wonderful part of the assemblies!.

  Wow (((vitty))) glad you're okay. If this is the reaction to your first sting, it could be life threatening the next time. Many times people that are allergic get a heads-up the first time and the next time is much more critical.

  so the co visited my cong and at the ms and elders meeting the brothers were told that those wiht parts on the platforms must not have sideburns, mustaches, beards or shaved heads because it is worldly.

  as well bright colorful dress shirts are not permitted eother because it distracts from the "important message" of the talk.

  there was also heavy counsel on tattoos.. on a totally different topic, i was talking to my mom the other day and she was going on about how free she would be in paradise.

  In the 70's my husband was pulled aside and told the reason he wasn't appointed MS was because of his sideburns. He shaved them off and got appointed. Then he was counseled on the wonderful polyester pants and jackets he had in every color. They were too casual to wear on the platform. Years later, he was counseled for his sons wearing brightly colored jackets and pants that were in style. It's always been one thing after another. I wish they'd tell him he had to shave his mustasche. Maybe THEN he'd see the control issue for what it really is.

  Wow, that really sucks. Sorry to hear it, but I'd recommend heading it off now while she's just thinking about it. She just may be caught up in the moment and you can bring her to her senses. If you wait, it could get much worse. Good luck to you.
