  In my case, I know my friend isn't of the self-righteous caste. Hell, he
  is far from that.
  
  But he is FIRMLY entrenched in the imperfect organization, take-it-or-leave-it, "Where
  else would I go?" Mentality.
  
  I told him on a previous occasion that if Jehovah instructed Jesus Christ to destroy me because
  I didn't put up with the lies, deceipt, and bureaucracy of the organization, then so be it.
  
  If that is "apostate," then I guess I pick up my medal later.

  after learning the true acccurate knowlege, was there ever a guilt feelin or obligation to further educate the congregation on such issues found to be inaccurate..either privately or publically?

  Where does the line form to pick up my medal? Hahhaahha! This is what my best friend said. We were talking on the phone (we really don't have a lot of day-to-day contact. It is more intermittent). He is currently disfellowshipped due to a trumped-up charge at the urging of a company man "who knows a lot of the big shots and Bethel heavies." Sound familiar? I asked my friend why he wanted to get reinstated knowing that organization has problems all over. I have not even told him the basics that many here know about the pedophile thing, Malawi-Mexico, blood, etc. All he knows about is lying, unloving elders. I am starting to sound like an apostate.

  i've just found out something that's going to be a massive thing in my congregation when it gets out.

  it all starts with a former jw, who faded away probably about a decade ago, and then moved away, came out as a homosexual a few years ago.

  he was never baptised, and he left so long ago, he never got chased up or disfellowshipped.

  I love the fact that it drives home a point of contention many here share:
  
  With regard to appointments, and their being guided by spirit, etc., this is yet another example of
  someone pulling the wool over the elders' eyes. There have been countless brothers (and in the case of
  pioneers and some special service, sisters) who have been appointed when they had past and current sins that,
  if were confessed, would have disqualified them.
  
  Yet another point to show that we were lied to as far as what part Jehovah plays in the process.

  i couldn't find if this was a previous topic, so i apologize in advance if it has been posted.. i am 28 years old, i have been df'd for 7-8 of those.

  my parents were converted when i was 2 years old by the whole family on my mother's side.

  however, about 5-10 years into it, all of that side of the family were df'd or da'd because they wanted to have sex with multiple people or smoke, drink, gamble, cuss, or whatever else they wanted.

  Your questions are the equivalent of "Did Jesus have the same size penis when he was resurrected? Since he was in a slightly different body, wouldn't it stand to reason that he might have a better penis?"

  My last statement still stand: you helped me prove my point. There are angels of varying power. You brought up several ranks of them. Thanks.
  
  (Also implicit in your argument about the Jacob vs. angel match was the assumption that the angel was instructed to contend at his FULL capability. That is found no where in any scripture.

  For your line of reasoning to be correct, you would have to prove an ABSOLUTE minimum level of power that an angel possess while in materialized form.
