One thing that happens is this:

People are given passes based on their past behavior, attitude, etc.

I can say something borderline, and Rush Limbaugh can say something borderline. Guess who gets nailed?

Rush's compassion, level of racism, etc. is constantly in question, so he would be under the gun.

(If he didn't make thousands per day because of that very oafish manner, I imagine he might work on that!)

Voicing concern over Islamic men that "look like" terrorists on your airplane is considered a no-no. Personally, if someone "looked" threatening to me because they fit the stereotype of an Al Qada member, I don't think I should feel the need to apologize for my concern.

is he legally required to keep it secret, like a church confessional or doctor/patient type thing?.

It sort of reminds me of the word "snitch," and how it is misused by most.

Being a snitch or a traitor presumes that you broke an oath or a bond when you ratted on the person or organization. If you don't owe any allegiance to the entity now or then, then you can't be called a betrayer.

So I would think that if you never made a FULL dedication, how can someone say you are going back on it?

those of you who have posted here regularly for the past four years have helped me immensely in my recovery from watchtower and have shared with me in my journey.

you will also know that, after winning my battle with watchtower (save for one daughter who is still stuck fast in the org and shunning the rest of us), i have been fighting an even greater battle these past three years - cancer!.

Why is the attendance numbers taken twice during the meetings?

the watchtower wants to know just about everything and the attendance at meetings is one of them.. do they count how many people are at the hall a second time, just to know if anyone slipped out un noticed ?.

I would count who left for the second, to make the count easier.

I can honestly say I made no moral/value judgment on people as they left. I understand that people make a living in many ways, some of which may involve taking extra shifts/assignments, etc. Do I know that they are using the extra money to buy a nicer car, or for rice and beans? I don't know. Is the person ill? Suffering from gastrointestinal problems? I don't know?

If they had this mantra, I might still be in: Leave people alone.
