this was before we finally started telling people were weren't going to meetings.
at any rate, my husband was talking to the guy who took over the accounts when my husband left and he was saying that donations have dwindled significantly.

been thinking of this, because of having been raised in the witnesses.
i reflect back on opportunities i would have encountered and seized, had it not been for being controlled by the witness organization being told higher education was not needed.

I was an MS zealot, if I had to pick a category.
They are indeed running short of people in ANY of those categories who want to do it. There are people at my hall who purposefully got under double-digit hours in service every few months so that they would not qualify as easily for MS appointment. -

the whole sept 07 kingdom ministry question box hinges around the word "endorse", imho.. some apologists are saying, "hey this is not a big deal.
the f&d slave isn't saying they don't "approve" of jws doing these things, they're just saying that they don't officially, publicly, "endorse" them.

Excellent post. I am sure there is a clinical term or phrase used to describe the psycho-social manipulation they are using:
"Well, we aren't giving it a thumbs up, and WE ARE THE BOSSES, but do what you want."
The pressure is there to view the situation in the SAME light as the GB/FDS does. It is the nature of the relationship. -

Clarification:
I didn't think I was expressing/displaying any DISLOYALTY to the Society, since they were supposed to be presenting the Truth.
I thought that's what they ultimately cared about.

I knew the Society was wrong about the angels marrying Scripture, and I told someone so in service. I actually didn't know it was wrong to say something against the Society. The born-in-the-truth drone said to wait on the organization. I said I refuse to believe something I know is not true.
The Society corrected their view in the mid-90s, as you know. But that was my start of being "bad." -

recently a book i came across people of the lie by a well known psychologist m. scott peck discussed evil and evil in some of his patients.
to him any harm whatsoever inflicted on another person is evil and a mental illness that can be cured.

What is a "pony"?
by Mystery inafter a few responses; i will tell you what the circuit overseer told my mom (and the others out in service) the definition of pony is.. i can not find his definition anywhere on the internet or in the dictionary - maybe someone can enlighten me on the definition of "pony".. .
