Now, that I'm in my forties...heading toward fifty, fast; I feel old. I feel like I've wasted a good part of my life with religious hang-ups! I think that I would have done a lot of things differently had I not been raised the way I was. Does anyone else ever feel like this?

Totally unrelated to anything...
by still angry ini can't believe this!!
i have a 7 1/2 month german shepherd puppy that apparently just went into heat.
kinda early for a dog her size, but the vet told me they won't perform spays on bitches in heat, so, get ready, i should put her on the pill!

Has anyone put their dog on the pill???
I don't know why your post makes me laugh! I've had friends that had to put their dogs on antidepressants! I know of another person that would leave work to give her dog insulin injections. So, yep, I guess "the pill" would be a probable solution for the new puppy....

Ever had to go to hospital?
by greendawn inin general have you been physically healthy in your life or did you ever have a serious physical illness to the point that you needed hospitalisation?
fortunately up to now i never had any such illness nor did ppl of my age that i know, except one (heart operation).
the only one that died actually got killed in an accident at work after the machine he was operating snatched him and minced him.

Hi Virgochik, I'm sure that you'll have a safe surgery, and I hope that my story didn't scare you! Thanks, for the compliment!

Why'd you have to ask? I been sickly type all my life.- Got my armed burned by hot rice when I was about 5 years old. (I was sitting on the kitchen floor...)
-Would have fevers and bellyaches that would cause the doctors to hospitalize me. (Never did find out what was wrong.)
-Swallowed a jack when I was about 9 years old. (My sister was beating me at playing the game). I thought I'd be funny and throw all the jacks into my mouth. Well, one went down and got stuck in my throat. Oops! You should of seen the x-ray!)
-Two pregnancy were c-sections. (The twins were considered high-risk, so I had to go to the doctor A LOT.)
-Gallbladder removal.
-Kidney stone removal with stent placement. (That stent resembles a long clothes hanger wire!)
-Thyroidectomy, developed a serotoma/hematoma that was crushing my windpipe. The surgeon came to the bedside, ripped out the stitches, and rushed me back to surgery. He managed to intubate my mainstem bronchus, causing a pneumothorax. He didn't figure that out. Well, in recovery I was going down the tubes. I was rushed to MICU. They were bagging me (My poor children saw them bring me out!) Put me on the vent, called in a pulmonologist, who told them to pull the tube back. I stayed on the vent for about 2 days. After that, my vocal cords were paralyzed in the closed position, so I had to have a tracheostomy for about 6 months.
-Diabetes (in an out for that)
-Pneumonia (They thought, I don't know what it was.)
Not to mention that I have horrible allergies. I, probably, missed something, but that the gist of it.

Help!!!!! How do I get out of vacation?
by collegegirl21 inokay, so spring break is coming up soon.
i just got off of the phone with my jw mother (i'm still in the religion), and i found out that although i'm in college and was planning on going somwhere else for my spring break, that i now have to go down to memphis, tn with her, my dad and my 2 non-believing aunts and 1 non-believing uncle in an suv from wisconsin.
i then have to stay with them for 5 days while my granddad and my mom fight over scriptures (my granddad is a 7th day adventist) and do nothing.

I'm a mother and I love my children. See your mother and father, but don't go out in field service or to the Kingdom Hall. When you get home, tell your mother that you're not feeling well, that you think you have the flu or something. Get up and walk around like a rag doll in your robe and slippers. This should, at least, keep you from having to go out in service and to the kingdumb hall.
I know, it's not like going to Daytona Beach...
Ok, maybe, someone else has a better answer.

I, definitely, feel that his parents were abusive monsters. I left a message on his space. I sure hope that he will continue to do well.
