  Why don't elders drop off the mags?

  why is it that there is no arrangement for 'faders' and those who stop going to meetings to at least keep getting the magazines.

  why don't the local elders or pioneers even bother to drop them in our letterboxes?

  it amazes me how much time is devoted to methodically cold-calling with magazines in the door-to-door work, but no methodical arrangement exists for inactive ones.

  Today a young Elder in his early 30s from Patterson, from the cong i use to attend came by today to encourage me with some bible verses. So I took the op to ask for magazines, hoping they had the Jan.15th issue of the Watchtower. All his wife had in their car was the Dec. 1st issue.

  The two of them are so nice I didn't have the heart to tell them that I am not going back to the KH meetings. I have told two sisters from the cong the reason for me not attenting meetings. If this young Elder knew about that, then he didn't let on. Next time he comes by I will have a talk with him.

  It is very important information and if I was still a JW and found out about this, I really believe I would immediately walk away from the WT and never look back. I sincerely hope that thousands upon thousands do just that when they read for themselves how they have been bamboozled, duped and hoodwinked!

  Key words, hoodwinked, bamboozled, duped! ..Yes, so true Barbara, those are the same words I used when I informed my JW friends and my son a few days after I learnt of the Malawi/Mexico issue....they all said I was attacking the JWs.

  I pray to our God and our Creator that their eyes will be opened on the coming, big news.

  Help please---69 Awake quote

  while talking with my mother about why i gave no thought to my future employment as a young man, i mentioned the 69 awake article that assured young folks that they would not grow old in this system.

  she thinks i must have misread it.

  i can't locate it now, so can anyone point me to it?.

  I was a young JW in 1969...and that was the year we bought our first house...I never saw that article thank goodness. Anyway by 1975 I was out of the JWs and a fader. I am sorry I returned in 1987....but out for good since 1999.

  it is strange chatting on the net, not knowing what everyone is really like.

  do you pretend to be someone you are not?

  i find it hard to know how to take people here sometimes, as words do not convey as much without seeing the facial expressions and hearing the tonal inflections.

  just before i moved into my little apartment my scooter died.

  it was an old scooter and the wires were so brittle that they kept shorting out.

  when they tried to put a new motherborad into it the chair fried the new board.

  i was thinking about how one of the cult tactics come into play in such a simple action, like commenting at the meetings.

  don't know if it was the same everywhere, but at our hall, sometimes the wt study conductor would call on a couple of people in sequence, the first would give thier comment, then brother "i get to carry the microphone" would run over to the other, just for them to say "he, she had my thought".

  just that statement "they had my thought" says so much now.
