Introducing: my daughter!!!!!!

my daughter (let's call her abbadette) is visting me in the netherlands for the frist time this week.
she's nearly 16 and lives with her mum who is largely inactive but still culticly influenced.. my darling abbadette has kind of figured out that it is a load of (passes keyboard to daughter) utter and complete shite.. (regains use of keyboard) where ever did she learn langauage like that?

WOOWZER!! Welcome leftbehind. I had the same thing happen to me. I started with the 607 stuff and within 6 weeks I was totally gone. I was so shocked at how fast it all happened for me. I'm so happy for you and your brother. Lean on him for support right now. Your life is on a whole new path, a MUCH BETTER path. Hang in there, and just sit back and see what happens as far as the DFing thing goes. You may not have to take any action whatsoever.

I will honor those who were brave enough to leave this cult even though they have lost loved ones. I will also honor all the great teachers that have taught me so much this past year. -

I actually read "gentile times reconsidered" first, and then CoC. Coc really helped me feel better about why I believed it for so long, and it helped impress upon me that it's the organization that is the problem not just individual idiot elders being jerks - which is what the "faithful slave" wants you to think.
It's a MUST read though......enjoy! -

as many of you know, we have been waiting for over 2 months for any kind of word back from them.
i kept telling my husband, " you would think that they would at least call, and say they haven't forgotten about us, that they are doing the research they promised to do.

i just heard (not from him) that he got somebody to go to the reject jesus memorial.
this person has no idea of the implications of this action.

Carla - try not to overreact to this person. That will drive them straight into the cult's arms. Depending who this person is, you may want to let them go and THEN start a discussion with "What did you think of the Memorial?" "Do you want to know why I don't go?" Then give them ONE or TWO things to think about. Don't bombard them. If this person is an adult remember - they have the choice as far as what to do so don't push too hard. good luck!

I always find it interesting how toxic people like the elders or my parents for example want to have these discussions on "thier turf." I know with my own parents if you have to speak with them in person then we meet in a neutral public place. They are so much better behaved than when they are in their comfort zone. Kingdom hall = power and authority to the elders!
