Revelation It's Grand Climax at Hand! - bookstudy
by TheListener ini was reading e-watchman today and someone there is saying that after studying the what does the bible really teach book at bookstudies the next book will be the revelation book!!!.
there isn't any real proof, but the poster claimed a letter from bethel stated this.
perhaps some here can dig around and confirm or deny this new rumor.. we've studied it 3 times in the past and it's been awhile.

**First thing they need to do is "can" the title of the book. Sounds like what I do at night before going to sleep.
Thankya thankya very much ***
LOL! at IPSEC!!
seriously - I can't believe this is the next thing they are going to study......I remember so many wits complaining about that book! Man, if the Daniel book hadn't gotten me to open my eyes then studying the "Revelations and Climaxes" (sounds like a good porn movie eh?) book would have woke me up from zombie mode. -

(((((MERRY))))))
this is the kind of sick joke the f'ed up universe throws our way sometimes.......and you just feel sick, shaky, and want to scream.
I am sooo sorry. I think it's very wise and mature of you to go see her. I have a feeling you and your mom may get some peace in your relationship at this point in the game. It's amazing how much someone can change when they feel they are at the end. I hope you and your daughter find the time with your mom peace inducing. :)
where is your mom at that you have to travel to her? PM me your email address so we can talk if you need to......I'll send you my number. -

Were Russell's Bible Students the only ones predicting 1914?
by jwfacts insince russell took the 7 times interpretation from miller there must have been other people aware of millers prophecy.
in 1914 were there any other groups that were expecting the 7 times to end?
the watchtower says that the bible students were the only ones, but what about millerites etc?

hey jwfacts-
there is a whole chart in the book "Gentile times reconsidered" pg 60 and 61, about all the different groups around that were predicting the end of the world around Russells time. The years vary but many were professing 1914.
maybe that will help. -

Really serious question!
by 5thGeneration indrifting away is one thing.
i'm curious if anyone has written a letter (not a disassociation letter) that simply told their friends and loved ones that you don't really believe a lot of it anymore and blah, blah, blah.. or is it better to shut up and just never show up again.. problem is my wife says if i want to leave that i have to fess up and tell people.
ouch!.

I wrote a letter to one friend when I left because I felt she would really take the time to listen to me, especially after she had let me know of some of her own personal doubts.
NOPE! she immediately put on the dub hat and gave me an ultimatum of time to talk to the elders about my doubts or she would "turn me in." (I am trying to fade because I have one grandmother that would probably literally die if I DF'ed or DA'ed.)
If you did write a letter like that explaining your reasons - and you sent it to numerous people - the elders very well could treat that like a DA letter.
tough choice. see if you can buy some time with your wife to be able to think it through. does she realize that HER life may be less stressful if you DON'T DA? It sounds like she is just mad and wants to punish you a bit.......

Would this 'strategy' work with Zealous mates & 'Faders'?
by AK - Jeff inthere are always a few threads on this forum dealing with one mate 'fading' and the other tight in the 'truth'.
the scenarios are always similar; 'fader' is iching to finally 'get out' - other 'zealous mate' is always anxious to end the marriage or destroy the life of the 'fader'.
'fader' wants to bring 'zealous' out, but thinks he will terminate his/her relationship with 'zealous' in so doing.

this line of reasoning did help me to start questioning things.
I knew hubby (ithinkisee) was researching and doing a lot of bible research (something he NEVER did before) and yet I knew he wasn't doing this research to be a better witness. He never communicated with me, so asking him about this was out of the question.
he did photocopy a ton of different books and encyclopedia articles and highlighted them with notes about jerusalem's fall. He left them in a folder on his desk right on the edge and I looked at them. that got me questioning and sent me doing my own research without him even knowing I was doing that. I wanted to prove him wrong in a way. I was just positive that he was *confused* or had got a hold of some false info. but as I researched I began to see the lies.
the rest, as they say, is history! :) -

So I Finally Dissassociated Myself...
by arecibo inhi guys, .
just want to say how great it is to be able to talk to people in the same situation.
sometimes it feels like there's no-one who can really understand what it's like being brought up in the jws.
