Why a sealed envelope?
by Amha·aret inthis is a question for all elders or others who might be in the know.. when would someone's df form be put in a sealed envelope?
i know that this happens sometimes if the person has done something very bad but i'm not sure what.
i know the envelope remains sealed unless and until the person looks to get reinstated.. i happen to know this happened to a dfed person in the cong i just left.

My vote is a for the one that would do the most good, a Public DA letter in the local Paper. Briefly explain what it is and why you are doing it, Give websites for research, post the letter and then give the public tips on how to be put on the "Do Not Call List"

Quada-Fire is the way to go http://www.quadrafire.com Quadra-Fires are set up to run pellets or corn or any of the new pellet types that are coming out. From October to April Propane would cost me $250.00 to fill up my tank. I would use a tank per month, and 2 tanks in January, to keep my 1200 sq. ft home no higher than 55 degrees. 8 Winter Fill ups X $250.00 = $2000.00 Winter Heat. My Mid Sized Quadra-Fire burns about 1-1/2 to 2 tons per winter keeping my house at a toasty 70 degrees. 1 Ton runs about $200 so winter heat with pellets runs me a whopping $400. Just think, in the 4 years that I have owned the Pellet Stove Propane Fill ups now run in the $350 range and the cost of pellets has gone up $20 per ton, how much more am I saving now. It is a great money savings but it is a lot of work. Depending on the Ash Content the Fire Bowl must be emptied Daily sometimes twice a day. The inside must be cleared of ashes weekly and the ash tray must be emptied Monthly. The Stove will need to be filled with every 2 or 3 days. You need to be able to store 10 or so bags somewhere in the house because it will be a pain bringing 40lb. bags in from outside. A lot of work, but a huge savings as well. FYI Oak Pellets Burn Hotter and have less ash then the other types of wood pellets.

How come the women's restrooms always stink at assemblies....
by tan ini mean i use public restrooms...even gas station restrooms on occassions and they never smelled like the assembly bathrooms.
i thought that they were suppose to be clean people????.
just thought i'd ask....

The Women's restroom? Have you smelled the Men's restroom?? I hate it so, I would gag and it did not matter which restroom or which convention location they all smelled the same way. It is to the point where I don't drink much liquid during the day so I could hold it till we got back to the Hotel.

Has any Assembly or Convention been cancelled due to bad weather?

Once about 9 years ago in Corpus Christi, Texas, they canceled the Sunday session because of a Hurricane. It ended up near Brownsville that day. It was kind of exciting to evacuate to San Antonio.

3 a.m. - my wife is in tears! What do I do?
by The Scotsman inwell my situation has developed a bit, any advice appreciated.. their has been a gradual building up of pressure ever since i stood down as an elder about 6 months ago.. i have been telling my wife about my doubts but have continued to attend "some" meetings.. as time has progressed i have become more open with my criticism of the org.. i mentioned the un scandal, molestation trials, false prophecy ect etc.. interestingly she does not deny these facts and yet still wants to continue as a jw.. i told her that god is not happy with people knowingly being part of a false prophet (deut 18 - etc) - starting to lay the groundwork for my exit.. she appreciates the difficult situation doubters are in - they cannot openly express their feelings for fear of jcs.. anyway, a few weeks ago we moved house which meant changing congregation.. but i felt it would be best if i did not attend meetings " at all" at the new cong so my fade could be easier.. but i could not have predicted my wifes response - when i told her it was an explosion of emotion, i mean real heartbreaker stuff.. she seems depressed at the prospect, perhaps the reality is finally hitting home.. last night, about 3a.m.
i noticed that she was not in bed.
i went downstairs and she was sobbing away to herself.. "i can't go to that hall myself!

If possible, I would go to a nice, cozy bed & breakfast inn somewhere nearby Saturday Night. Spend the day together doing some activity, shopping, a walk in the park something. Nice, small weekend getaways are perfect for breaking a meeting rut. Camping worked great for us, if your into that. Theocratic Ministry School Nights are perfect nights for a Movie or night out on the town.
