Yeah- a witness friend (mass) emailed me an attachment that was the (donation-supported?) pamphlet for sydlik's memorial. (it was sydlik that dies, right?) it was all about him. blyech. witha nice little pic. I will post it if I can find it.

There was once a really nice (I thought it was nice, I'm not sure what the family thought) memorial for this sister at our hall- her "worldly" son and a couple of others (I think) got to get up on the podium at the hall and talk about his mom. He even had long hair. :)
I thought it was the nicest funeral I've experienced at the hall because of that touch of humanity that was allowed. I think there was an elder or two in our hall that knew that it definitely wasn't the time to be petty about "the rules".

by under_believer inat our special assembly day, there was a visiting speaker from bethel.
don't remember his name, but he was a humorless and austere gentleman who was very clearly a company man.
he said many questionable things, especially in the way he generalized about "the world" and "worldly ones.

Would a breast-milk based blood substitute work?
by hamsterbait inokay, the wtbts condones eating bone marrow, even though it is full of red blood cells, cos in the bible it says that the jews ate it.. the wtbts condones drinking milk even though it contains huge numbers of white blood cells.
(as much as 750 000, and 1 000 000 per cubic centimeter) because the jews drank it.. query - if somebody needed a transfusion of white cells what would be wrong with getting human females to express and donate milk, so the white cells could be harvested and used?
after all anybody who drinks milk consumes them every day.. would it be okay as long as the donor was not a dub?

People who see EVIL object in pictures, are really reaching!
by free2beme ini sit in my bathroom on a daily basis, using the facilities.
as i do this, to pass the time i will sometimes look at the pattern in the wallpaper or floor and see if i can make out things.
at times i think it looks like a face, or maybe the shape of a object or country.

Humans are hard-wired to see faces and patterns. Evolutionarily it meant the difference between surviving or starving.
Also explains why the dubbers (and other armageddonists) see all these "patterns" in biblical dates etc... Humans just see this stuff... -

I can put bumper stickers on my car now!
by kitten whiskers inthis may seem silly---but ever since i could drive, every car had to be acceptable for field service.
no vanity plate on the front (have one now!
), no bumper stickers or advertising slogans (have 3 now!).

What stickers do you have, Kitten?
I have a GNP (Glacier National Park) one and a fuzzy Wrangler (jeans) sticker that looks like the Wrangler lable. It's my semi-lame attempt to make my truck look more like a *guy's* truck so that it will be less susceptible to creeps messing with it/me when I sleep in it on the side of the road/at trailheads...
Yeah, I know, I need the chrome naked lady mudflaps..
