ever have one of those days..when you go outside,and part of your dogs throat has been ripped out?...
that was the begining of my day... i have no idea what attacked him..whatever it was,was f*cking vicious!
!..there was a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his neck.....and a severed artery......also a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his leg.....and..another severed artery.....there was blood everywhere... the nearest vet is 1 1/2 hours away..i phoned in and told the doctor to be ready for me... i tied the dogs wounds up with tee-shirts to try to minimilize the bleeding..then put a 100 lb bleeding dog,in the back of the truck..........poor dog tried to stand up in the truck..his neck started to gush with blood..i got him to lie down..the bleeding slowed.....i jumped in the truck and drove..that was one long hour and a half... the doctor came out..looked at the dog,ran back in and brought out a stretcher..it took three of us to bring him in so he would`nt move around..that dog has spunk!..lol!!.

I have often seen the sign at our emergency vet's (which we have visited MANY times...) asking for blood donations from our pets.
One of these days I will take our girls in to donate. Hopefully no doggie-elderrs will see us

well, i work from home.
i have been thinking about getting a job outside of the home and use the internet at work, when i get home from work, there will be no internet at home, so i would not be internet junkie anymore at home.

my pet will not drink water from the tap.
absolutely refuses.
will look at the bowl of water and back at me, then back to water, then look at me again as if to try to communicate something.
My dogs love ice cubes. Untiiiiil I introduced them to "Ice Pups". They now turn their noses up at ice cubes and my older dog has actually spat an ice cube across the room and looked at me like, "what was THAT?"
Ice Pups are made in the ice cube tray. The product is a cannister of powder that you mix up: 2 tblsp with one cup of warm water (enought for 1 tray). It is all natural- chicken, barley, alfalfa, etc. It can also be made into a hot broth for them.
You could do this on the cheap with chicken stock, I suspect. That is what I will do next time- "Ice Pups" the product is $15 a cannister. But it makes 30 trays of ice cubes.
