List your fav drinks and how to make them...
by AK - Jeff inwifey and i were basically non-drinkers whilst in the dubland fantasy.
now we drink an occasional glass of wine or pina colada.. we're not very imaginative with it.
i know some understand the fruit of the vine well [like our buddy in oz, ozzie] and others enjoy mixed drinks.. which ones - and how do you make 'em?.

I saw The Exorcist last night! ...and no demon problems yet!!! ;)
by Kudra inyee haw!
i am working my way through all the movies that are supposed to open me up to demon influences in order to attract demon possession in an effort to prove whether or not there is a god.

Wordly Andre-
Oh I believe the events surrounding the trial were real.
I don't believe in demon possession however so that part of the movie was interesting- sort of a "mass hysteria" of the the Rose family and the priest.
I would love to watch all these classics- Rosemary's Baby, The Omen, Poltergeist etc.

Too Dang HOT!!
by caligirl ini just stepped out into my back yard and thought i was going to melt.
i was going to fill up the inflatable pool for my son, but by the time it gets filled up, the water will be about 90 and not worth the bother.
i'm sure that other california people can relate to this.

"Diary" - Everything The Watchtower Never Will Be
by metatron ini watched "diary of a mad black woman" and was quite surprized.
i had expected to see a mindless comedy - but instead found a sort.
of "capra-esque" gem about forgiveness.

Could it be this?

This information is posted on another website. Apparently, this fall will mark the distribution of Kingdom News #37 (I think it was 37), entitled, "False Religions End Is Near!" It will be distributed between 10/16 and 11/12. Each publisher is to get 50 copies, and this time, we are supposed to track how many we place, and report it on our time slips. There will be an announcement at the the service meeting the week of September 18.
(From that same eJW discussion thread)

Same ol same ol?
"The talk "False Religion’s End Is Near" was delivered worldwide on April 23, 1995, followed by the distribution of hundreds of millions of copies of a special issue of Kingdom News."

ooo, Thanks for resurrecting this thread-
I will work through all those movies when I get back to my house in the fall. I am too busy this summer- working til midnight every night...
I DID see the Exorcism of Emily Rose (rented it along with The Exorcist) but was so dissapointed!!! I thought it would be creepier or something.
I think the only movies that scare me are the ones that I believe could be real- like a serial killer stalking campers in the mountains, or something...
There are some movies I won't see- like "seven" (my mom and sister saw it and described a few scenes- that was enough) that are so graphic and disturbing that I don't want on "replay" in my mind for weeks after the movie...
I am interested in those "deeemun" movies cause they were such a no no all through my yute as a JW.

What's the oddest thing you have eaten?
by PopeOfEruke inhey i was on holiday last week and we went to a sea-side night market and there was a food stand called "roadkill restaurant".
the motto was "you kill it, we grill it".
charming place.. they had crocodile, buffalo, camel, and kangaroo and emu kebabs.

When we were like, 13, my friend and I made our own escargot from garden snails that we fed on cronmeal for a day or two.
We dropped them into a pot of boiling water to kill em and pop em out of their shells. Then we fried them in oil and spices.
Tasted like spicy gristle.
