Look to the left hand of the screen. First go to "emulators" and click on the game systems you want to have. An emulator lets you play videogames from another game system on your pc. - i.e. a sega genesis emulator lets you use genesis games on your pc.

Next click "roms". Roms are the actual games. In "roms" click on the system you wish to download games for. You find hundreds to thousands of old games free here.

Note: if you have problems downloading from the site then you need to switch browsers. Go to download.com and get search for other web browsers. Only certain browsers will work for this site for some reason. And your limited to 120 mb of downloads from emuasylum per day. That's ALOT of old games. If your bored at work and can get away with it this site will keep you busy a long time!

meetings are dragging me down.

it sucks because i still live at home and have no choice but it has gotten to the point where i have left early at times just because i cannot stand to hear all the b.s from the platform.

how do i just keep doing what i have to do till i know i can leave?

You asked about books to read to help you through. I'll give a few to research.

Franz books would be great because he was on the inside at bethel and knew what was really going on.

Those will be an eye opener for you.

I agree with enigma with regard to studying other religions. Studying other religions show you that you were fed lies about them.

You come to see that they aren't evil as you were led to believe.

Also I recommend study of nlp. In specific the meta-model.

If you understand the meta-model you understand why different people see the world differently. You'll understand why a buddhist see the world

the way he sees it. You'll understand why a christian feels the way he does. You'll know why a catholic believes in the trinity and a jw doesn't.

Also why an atheist knows what he "knows". From there you see that jw's are just taught a model that gets poor results.

But the meta-model is hard to learn through books. You would have to study many nlp books to really "get it". Well worth the effort because you'll

understand almost everyone if you really do get it.

Finally i'd recommend study of the enneagram personality type # 1 the perfectionist. Not only do people act through personality types but

organizations do as well. You'll see that the Borg-Org (as I like to call them) are nothing more than a perfectionist personality type trying to

convert everyone to their personality type and "worldview" or model of interpretation. Perfectionists go through life trying to force a set of rules

that exist in their minds onto the external world and others. The model they think with in their heads is "perfect" (at least in their mind it is)

and never matches reality. They see the world in black and white. Their dillema in life stems from their internal thinking not matching reality

and their need to convert the world outside of their mind into this false model. If you understand the difference between a "healthy" pefectionist and

an "unhealthy" one you will soon see just how crazed the jw Borg-Org is. I recommend reading books on the enneagram by Don Richard Russo and Russ Hudson (they author

together) and also by Thomas Condon.

I'm sure there is alot more you could read but I thought i'd give you a few places others might not think to look.

They talk without ever realising how deceiving the org is to its members, "come in to be saved" in an org that has consistently failed in its prophecies and is therefore a false prophet why should anyone want to associate with false prophets?

Trouble is someone inside the org-borg has no clue that they're dealing with false prophets. Remember all the "blind leading the blind" brainwashing? It was all directed against all other religions. The presupposition was that the jw were the only non-blind guides/prophets in existence.

Yes. And part of the dillema is that even those at the top of the chain of command don't know their beliefs are a pack of lies. They believe them as strongly as any follower lower on the totem pole. The ultimate example of the blind leading the blind.

Btw I spelled "gorgeous" wrong. I seem to lose my spelling skill when I type, even on words I know well. Oh well you just get to hear you gorgeous twice ;-)

I've got some questions for Jehoba Gawd. Especially about "Da Truff".

Why did he let satan take them there smurfs and use those little cuttie pies as demons? Ya know, them there power rods of holy spirit the elders said so.

And I like listening to all that worldly music. Why can't I bring it into "DA nu Syztim"? We need to get our groove on in paradise too you know.

I get that once in a blue from a guy who lives in my building. Oddly he has an accent like the guy you saw. He tried a few times to convert me. Not happening!

BTW Colorado, you are georgeous. I had to just say that. Whew...now that i've got that off my chest...

You know, were all still a percentage Jehovah's Witness. Like it, or not!

i know a lot of people we say, i am 100% out, and speak of all the things they disagree with.

yet i don't think that is the case, we are what the accumulation of our days have brought us too and no matter how hard you try, i know you all have witness in you.

it might be as simple as a thought when we do something normal, with some stray conscience struggle with doing something we were told was wrong for so many years.

I with you there infamousone. Still gets to me sometimes too. It always stays with us to some degree but the more you question their silly thinking the more it tones down.

I feel the same. Many of us feel different. And at the same time some of the most valuable things in life are those that are unique and a bit different fron the rest.

On another note I went to a meetup of ex-jw's this weekend. I left around 4pm Saturday. I didn't get back till 6:30am Sunday morning! We went to bars, a restaurant, and in the end it was 2 of us about to go home at 2am when ge got a phone call for a party in the city. The longest night out i've had in ages. Who ever said ex-jw's don't know how to party?

Can someone help me decide what to do?

can someone give me some feedback on what they would do in this situation:.

last weekend my best friends husband told me that three years ago he caught (and spied on for about half an hour) my husband and my very best friend "getting hot and heavy" (his words) in our spa and that he watched them because "he found it hot".

the three of them decided that they would not tell me and kept it a secret for the last three years until he told me (because he was drunk at the time).

That's a rough situation. I think you shouldn't be influenced by anybody in terms of what you should do. What's right for one person is wrong for the next. If it were me I would confront your friend one on one. I agree that thinking about it over and over in your head will not be productive (been there, done that).

As far as forgiveness goes, I don't think anyone can tell you if you should or shouldn't forgive. The answer varies from person to person. Find out more. You would probably find out the most from the one that told you the truth in the first place. My guess is that you will feel like your in a better position to judge the situation and those involved after you know it all. I hate to say it but in the end you may need to do the same thing back before you'll feel you can move on. I'm not saying you should. I just know that some people only get closure by "balancing the tables". I don't want to influence you there though. I don't know anything about you to say what would put you at peace with the situation.

And what's up with this freak getting turned on by all this?
